This all could have been avoided with a good video. I hope she learned

Why did this do so poorly compared to her previous singles in the UK? Was it the awful radio edit over there? It hit top ten in airplay over here so I guess not! There just hasn't been a lot of buzz about it really.

Yea, they were expecting the 'Controversy' to sell the single. All that really happened was the radio started playing really bad censcored versions which just made the track laughable to be honest. Their plan just blew up in their face really.
This single did do well where Circus didn't though, it's done better on Airplay & Physicals, but Circus had much stronger digital sales in the UK.

The Circus era is the worst Britney era in the UK, singles-wise.
The Blackout singles did better than the Circus singles in that country.

I think she just needs a bit of variety, especially in Europe, artists tend to do better over here when they do a decent mix of ballads/mid-tempos and upbeat songs. The US seems to prefer the faster stuff, at least in relationto Britney.

people act like this song TANKED or something! so what it wasnt #1, it went top 10 on radio, bout 800,000 in digital sales so far in usa, etc...could have been better, but could have been a lot worse! Exactly. Obviously is not a big hit, but a moderate one. Top 20 in most important markets like Australia, Canada, Ireland, UK, USA and worldwide, and Top 10 in France :) Top 10 in France ? It wasn't released here...

Circus (album) thank god has done better than Blackout and I think has a good chance at reaching 400k (Radar+Tour) while Blackout is what 285k?

But also remember that Britney did zero promo in Europe during the Blackout era.

Here's the latest sales I have: Blackout: 256,124 Circus: 299,104 :)

Looking at the figures there's not much of a difference between the way Blackout performed and the way Circus performed in the UK except Blackout had two top 5 hits to Circus's one.

This song is driving me insane is it dead or not? Can this really hold on another weak to reach a peak of #6? If so I would be ecstatic.

She has been really lucky with the charts so far this era... because of that I'm guessing she will hang in there for a week and get a #6 peak!

Who would have thought that IF U SEEK AMY can possibly go recurrent.
She is entering her 15th week on the chart and is still hanging inside the Top 10.

Imagine if she performs this on the AI finale!
Apparently, this can go as high as #6 by Sunday afternoon.
