An excellent follow-up single from Loose. This song dominated radio in the winter of '06-'07 and smashed the charts worldwide. Like "Promiscuous", Timbaland, Danja, and Nelly experimented with 80s pop. Everything about this song is so eerie and strange; the instrumental, lyrics, and vocals. At the time the song reminded me of Phil Collins' "Another Day In Paradise". This song is still hot.

This is an excellent track that stood out from the first listen. I give most of the credit for this to Timbaland & Danja because it's the stuff in the background that give this the ethereal qualities that make it stand out. I definitely fell a Pat Benetar/Phil Collins vibe from it.

I still hear this everyday, it never gets old. It's the track that is responsible for Bleeding Love and its recent rip-offs imo. I remember many critics calling it the song of the decade and it was the first time I did not roll my eyes in such a statement.

I'm really interested to know who said it was the greatest song of the decade lol. I think the song is brilliant, the best on Loose, and I was so pleased it was a huge hit. But I do think it's overrated on this board.

Lol, I also don't think I've ever seen it referred to as a "song of the decade". Anyways, obviously I love this. It's not overrated, it's perfect.

I'm not saying that it is the song of the decade but I remember some critics calling it as the song of the decade or one of the many songs of the decade.

This is in contention for the most overrated song on Pulse no doubt about it, don't get what's so great about this song. Promiscuous pulverizes this.

I think this is one of the best mainstream pop tracks of the decade.
The lush romanticism of the production, esoteric lyrics and almost Middle Eastern quality really elevate it for me.

Good song, but I definitely don't like it as much as I did two years ago.

"Here Comes the Rain Again" influenced it, Nelly said in an interview, and i can here a slight influence, and i love it.
Someone needs to mash the two songs up.

Probably my favorite track from Nelly Furtado. I like it even better than Promiscuous.

Timbaland and Danja slayed the production of this song and tbh I couldn't see anyone nailing this song besides Nelly for some reason. This is just a great song, hasn't aged one bit for me at all.

I'm not a fan of Ms. Furtado's material for the most part, but something about this song, the arrangement, production, her vocals, or whatever it is, is just hypnotic in a way. Perfect pop song, best thing she's ever recorded, etc. etc.

This is the number one song on my iTunes. I love it. Definitely my favorite from Loose. Played the hell out of this track when it was out. It's still atop my iTunes but "Bad Romance" is closing in. :)

I agree with the majority here: AMAZING song.
It's also, back then and to this day, #1 on my iTunes with 139 plays. The next song has 113 plays. Then everything else is below 80.
But yeah, this is easily her best track. And also easily the best of the past decade. The lyrics are brilliant and the production is plain perfection. Oh yeah, so is her voice.

Love this song. There's something so different about this song, and I still don't know what the meaning of the song is. I love the beat and melody of the song. The chorus is what makes the song great and it's really hypnotizing and calming in a way.
It was the song that stopped Beyonce's 10 week reign with Irreplaceable after Fergalicious and This Ain't a Scene couldn't do it.
It had 14 weeks in the top 10, 20 weeks in the top 20, and 30 weeks in the top 30. It ranked #9 on the Year End Hot 100.
Worldwide, it is her biggest hit, not only doing well in North America, but it was HUGE in Europe.
