This is too those poster who feel Bey was just promoting herself last night i39.tinypic.com/1409279.jpgBeyonce was schedule to open the show with "I'll be there/Halo", but BET wanna her to do a uptempo "Smooth Criminal" she refused so she end up changing her performance at the last minute "Ave Maria" that's why she incorporate the Tour act(The dancers and wedding dress) You're making yourself look really stupid right now. Basically what Jawn reported was THE TRUTH. And her incorporating something from her tour in the end just goes to show that she was thinking about herself. And you've got to do something about that siggy because it's making the site go slow.

And blind fans bug me so I guess we're even. Jack ass! Yep, I'm a blind fan. Your the one taking meaningless "rumors" from angry Bee fans and beliving they are correct. STFU! And it's not just Beyonce ha.ters, it's Britney, Carrie, Kelly, Ciara, Madonna, Taylor, ect...People just really are messed in the head sometimes...Now carry on with your sad, pathetic life, believing Beyonce and the Knowles family are out to destroy the world. Better watch it or Matthew might have your internet turned off for Bashing Bee? Loser! People were pissed when they thought Beyonce was gonna perform MJ songs and "get her name out there"...people were mad when they thought she would do a single to promote her album, and now people are made when she sung an album track that is somewhat fitting of the situtation... *end rant* :) LMAO. All of that ranting for nothing since it's pretty much confirmed that she pulled a diva stunt.

All the recording artists who didn't attend the BET Awards should be very thankful. This was not an awards show to be proud of. It was disrespectful, crude, rude, vulgar, and pathetic.
I'm so happy that Solange kept her prior engagement of performing at the San Francisco Pride Festival. Solange was nominated for a BET J Award (now known as the Centric Award) and BET also wanted her to be a presenter. Solange did the right thing.

It's still just a rumor. The only thing that we know from a person who was backstage was "Beyonce was first going to sing Smooth Criminal then they changed it to I'll Be There/Halo and then she sang something from her own album the day of the show "Ava Marie" He also had a pic of the performance sheet for proof which validates it. He never gave a reason why she didnt because he doesn't know and neither do we....

The first sign that the BET Awards was going to be a hot mess was during the opening when New Edition performed and Bobby Brown stuck out his tongue like he was about to have sex on that stage.

How the hell was Beyonce supposed to perform an uptempo number when she only had one day to rehearse? She had a damn concert show on Friday AND Saturday which meant she only had the day on Sunday to perfect a performance. Beyonce will always be this vile person no matter what she tries to do.
Why isn't everyone complaining about people like Alicia Keys who attended the show but didn't bother to sing anything for the King? Right, because they didn't have enough time, of which Beyonce had less of.

The look on Keyshia Cole's face pretty much showed how disgusted she was with the show when Ving Rhames got on stage and started cursing and acting all crazy. Keyshia's face said it all. And you had those rappers cursing and being all vulgar with the lyrics. And young girls dancing on stage to nasty lyrics. BET may get fined for what happened because their censor couldn't catch all the curse words. Also that vulgar rap song was done just before Janet Jackson's appearance on stage. Yeah, when he started acting all crazy I was shocked. Keyshia looked like she was just about jump out of her damn seat too. And honestly I have NO idea why they let Young Money and Lil Wayne perform that vulgar song, that combined with the pre teen girls on stage was just plain nasty. This was probably the worst BET Awards show this decade.

Keyshia is from the hood and got more sense than Ving Rhames.

^ Alicia Keys did say several things about Michael Jackson. She said he did a ton of humanitarian work, and that she was proud to be following his example. She said a few other things too... but I can't recall what.

^^^Yea, Alicia Keys did thank Mike and did a good job at it, and gave a good( and long) speech.
But I think the point of jamrock16 bringing that up was to prove his point on how Beyonce's performance wasnt the only one that was tweeked or changed. Alicia Keys was also supposed to sing Heal The World along with Wycleff after they both accepted their Humanatarain awards, but that didnt happen either, along with other performances such as T.Pain's. But yet people still wanna complain about how Beyonce's performances that didnt happen when there were many others. Jamie fox was on the radio this morning talking about the awards and even said himself that things were changed at the very last minute. So I blame BET for how they put the show together and how they rushed it and just threw things together.

The bottom line is nothing happened the way it was supposed to. Solange was supposed to present but cancelled. Kanye was supposed to perform but didn't and instead sat in the audience the whole time. BET were just letting rumors fly around about what was going to happen at the show and never bothered to correct them so when the show ended up being a major disappointment. Not to mention they had a decent show in their hands, MJ tribute wise, and Stephen Hill & Debra Lee screwed it up. Those two have got to go.
Jamie Foxx called into the Rickey Smiley Morning Show this morning and explained why Chris wasn't there:

If they wanna Bey to open with a uptempo, but she wanna to do a mixture of ballads but they said no, So she pick her song at the last minute? Before Micheal's passing I assume Bey was going to perform Ego(Her current Urban single) and then they wanna make the show into a tribute(which was doom from the beginning) Bey wouldn't have enough time to rehearsal either number, so she end up picking a routine she was comfortable with instead of doing a half a$$ performance, but H.aters can NEVER seems to look at things in a different light, Every and anything is Bey's fault

BET does NOT know how to do last minute changes. It's so obvious. They get crappy producers who are basically amateurs to run the show and they have no idea what they are doing.
The Grammys Awards is run by professionals and they were able to handle a last minute change when Rihanna wasn't in the show and they had to add Justin Timberlake and Al Green. And they had hours to change their show. BET had 3 days to change their show.

^^That was just one performance to fill though. Not a big deal. This however is a 3 hour show that people are expecting BET to completely change and perfect a tribute to MJ. I'm sorry but no matter who you are, MTV, the Grammy's or the Billboard Music Awards, you just aren't that good enough to fulfill that task.
BET should of just opened the show with a montage of MJ videos/pictures and then have a short speech dedicated to him and then move on with the show as originally scheduled. It was just too much for them, and anyone for that matter.

The show's problem was more content related than technical issues.
The producers decided that it was okay for rappers with vulgar lyrics to be a part of a MJ tribute show.
Chaka Khan was at the BET Awards and she has a great MJ cover of "Got To Be There" that she could have performed. BET could have added more real singers who could have done a MJ song and not have those so-called rappers on the show.
So yes...I blame the producers for the content of the show because that is something that they can control which they did since they took Chris Brown off the show. BET is lying when they said that Chris wasn't going to be on the show. It was on their website and they even confirmed it to Access Hollywood. BET never denied it until after the Awards show when they got all that backlash.

I just watched the encore of the awards. It was edited due to time, yep, Tiny & Toya is about to come on. The Young Money and Drake medley was shortened. Lil' Wayne's verse in "Every Girl" was actually cleaned up. There was unnecessary censoring going on with his and Drake's verses. There was no footage of Birdman's performance.
* Ne-Yo and Jamie Foxx just whored up the stage that night. * I like Bey's performance, vocally, but what was up with the outfit? * Keri looked gorgeous. I love that woman. * Keyshia and Monica were going to war on the stage. lol. I'm just amazed how long she was rolling her neck. * The Skank Robbers clip was funny. I wonder what Sheneneh and Wanda were doing for the past 17 years. lol.
