New Music: Nina Sky - ‘Beautiful People’Nina Sky starts the summer off right with their club-ready jam “Beautiful People,” the first single from their sophomore album, Starting Today. The Stereotypes-produced song features lyrics from the CoverGirl campaign, “Easy, breezy, beautiful CoverGirl,” that will be stuck in your head all season long. www.rap-up.com/2009/07/03/new-music-nina-sky-beautiful-people/

It seems like they've been stuck on their "first" single for their second album (including back when it was "The Musical") for a few years now.
There was "Curtain Call" featuring Rick Ross that played a little bit over here, and then "On Some Bullshit".

Maybe the album title change is a signal that the album is finally ready for release.

I love them, i think this can be a semi pop hit...i guess J Records does have some faith in them and their project.

It seems like they've been stuck on their "first" single for their second album (including back when it was "The Musical") for a few years now. There was "Curtain Call" featuring Rick Ross that played a little bit over here, and then "On Some Bulls**t". This is exactly what I am talking about. It is taking too long for their followup. I liked their debut, but it was released 5 years ago in 2004. This is getting ridiculous. Their Move Ya Body was one of the best summer jams of the last decade I think, but they are taking way too long for the next release. Who even remembers them, if you think about it?

Curtain Call is the better song but I think this will appeal more to pop radio, especially the techno sample.

I though they had released an album like 1-2 years ago when they released Get Your Clothes Off (ahh had to go to iTunes to check), and it says that was released June 20, 2007, so in fact 2 years ago. My thought of it was that it flopped, I guess it was never released.
