I dont think this has much order it seems....

Well he never mentioned anything about it having order, but the only thing he mentioned was that they were counting to a number one, and that the list was compiled by a doctor (yes, I'm serious) using an algorithm based on how long it took the song to reach the top, how long the song stayed on top, and how long the song stayed on the chart in general. So wouldn't it make sense that it was an ordered countdown? If not, that's disappointing.

Um, I believe it has already been established that Rick uses a dartboard to figure out his charts.

Moreover, I'm not sure that this was a "countdown" per se, based on how gin posted it. Sounds a little like they played them in random order, a la "Best Week Ever Radio" (man, do I miss that show!)

Hey YA was indeed massive. Otherwise the order is a little preposterous. I mean Yeah! wasn't even top 20? I felt that would have been number one or two for sure. As far as acts represented though, I think its a good indicator that Beyonce and Justin were the two biggest music stars of the decade. when you count where is the love and destiny's child stuff - I think they each appear 6 times a piece! (if I counted right). No one else seems to be appear more than 4x.

I'm surprised "Bye Bye Bye" wasn't on the list, as it was #1 for ten weeks. Come to think of it, are there any songs from 2000 on there?
