Yes, it's not the same as IWLA, but I think "The Last Goodbye" could be a grower. She certainly is a powerhouse vocalist.

The fourth version is the best!
I like it a lot but I don't recognize the Lara Style! But it's radio friendly! It deserves to be top5 on AC!

Thanks! I think "The Last Goodbye" could be a grower. It certainly is. I love it now.

LARA FABIAN The Last Goodbye Producer(s): Desmond Child, True North Writer(s): W. Hector, S. Robson Publisher(s): Rondor London/Universal-PolyGram (PRS), Almo Music (ASCAP) Genre: AC Label/Catalog Number: Columbia 58480 (CD promo) Source: Billboard Magazine Originally Reviewed: July 03, 2004
Lara Fabian wowed the United States with her remarkable pipes and poise with the hit "I Will Love Again" in 1999. Since then she has recorded a number of albums in her native French and appeared on the occasional soundtrack (including the new "De-Lovely," in a duet with Mario Frangoulis). Fabian makes her official, enterprising return with an anthem that will rip the roof off any unsuspecting structure. While Fabian is more apt for the adult market, "The Last Goodbye" is the sort of over-the-top, arm-throwing love song that always finds its place among an audience that craves talent—minus the gimmicks or cheap samples. Fabian demonstrates her prowess for quality showmanship, which will make fans of Celine Dion and Josh Groban swoon to the last electrifying note. A most welcome second act.—CT

I like it. It sounds a little like 'I'm So Happy, I Can't Stop Crying'.

It depends on how they promote it. If Sony hypes her comeback, who knows. If they don't, it will probably peak around #29 or so.

Hey... I got my import copy of her CD "A Wonderful Life" today and I'm really liking it so far! It's great to finally hear "The Last Goodbye" as a full song in CD quality!
Unfortunately this CD has some really bizarre Sony Copy Protection scheme on it and I cannot rip the songs out into mp3s. Dang it!
Any word on an official album release date in the USA?!

On July 12th! What a good news!
With Sony I expected the same treatment as Anastacia with a single push back 10 times!
Do you think AC will embrace this single? Do americans remember I Will Love Again?

"I Will Love Again" still gets a lot of airplay at Adult Contemporary and dance stations.

It's good to see "The Last Goodbye" on the R&R AC Chart. I see she got one add on the Canadian AC chart!
How many AC stations are on each chart (US and Canadian)?

well this didn't bring in any adds. I guess she's written off as a one hit wonder.

Are you kidding? NO ADDS? Did it actually go for adds? This is the most obvious AC #1 hit I've heard in a long time! Something must be up...

I guess she's written off as a one hit wonder. It didn't do well but she did make the chart a second time with "Love By Grace."

With 18 spins in the last week and no such add, do you think Lara can make it with this single?
Is it a normal progression?

Didn't this song go for adds the same week that Josh Groban did? He picked up 33 adds that week. I wouldn't want to have to go up against him for adds.

The Last Goodbye is only playing on 10 radio stations in America after 1 month an a half of the release. And this week the song lost many spins on mediabase chart! Grr...
What's the problem with this song? Do you think it's the end for this song and for Lara in America?
Please call your AC radio station to request it!

I think Lara was written off as a one-hit wonder. It's not a good idea to wait four years to follow-up your only hit.
