I don't think Denver is the right market for such, um, graphic imaging. We'll see.

I'm going to say this becomes a Hot AC.

Denver already has a well-liked HAC. I got no idea what they're doing. Denver has a popular HAC, a new CHR, and a well-established RHY. My best guess is a 2nd-CHR, there's no other real direction to head into and the CHR is still new and not yet dominant.

A CHR would never play this many recurrents.

This seems like a Rhythmic AC station. They might as well add some current Dance/Club hits and be a Dance formatted station.

I refuse to argue like this. I'm not going to go there.
It's clear that this station will play rock and hip-hop hits from the 80s, 90s and 00s. CHR stations do not do that, and just because Denver already has a Hot AC doesn't mean they can't have two. My goodness.

The station is currently stunting as "The Pole." The true format will be revealed next week, and it will not be the songs they are currently playing.

I apologize. I really misunderstood everything.
The starter of this thread said this new station was "stunning". I didn't know he meant "stunting", and even then I didn't know what it meant, and an article I read neglected to say anything about the station changing from whatever they used to play.
I was wrong. Sorry. :(

Sorry. :( Sometimes they stunt in a really unusual way like by playing songs by just 1 artist for a few days or a week until the actual format signs on. I remember when Wild 107 signed on in San Francisco many years ago, they played Tone-Loc's "Wild Thing" on repeat for several days.

You know, if I lived in Denver, and this station really did somehow continue, it'd probably be one of my presets. Seems like they're playing quite a few forgotten party jams. Also, there's a slight chance it would inspire some random girl to start stripping.
From the radio boards, though, it seems like they're going to Conservative Talk. And no one strips to Conservative Talk (except for maybe Ann Coulter).

LOL! Now liberal talk on the other hand... you should have seen how many raves I've been to where they were blasting Air America!
