Eh, there's enough people here already to save Britney's life on this board for me, but Monroe always comes to defend Britney at even the slightest hint of Brit negativity (or at completely random times), that's for sure.

@ all this Monroe bashing! Don't hate because someone can back up their arguments, however ridiculous they may be. Lol, how do you back up a ridiculous argument without sounding ridiculous? I don't know, but if anyone would know it would definitely be a "lamb". HAHA!

How didn't the last part make sense? IGAF and WBT hold the record for most weeks in the 00s. It's not the record though. It's the longest #1 of the 00's but that isn't the record. The record is held by OSD. IGAF and WBT are runner ups if anything at all, the record isn't shared or changed in anyway since OSD still holds the record. My point is that it makes no sense to qualify records when it's not really a record. Saying this is a record for a certain era, time period or station panel size is useless and trivial since it's not really a record. It's just a benchmark for a certain time that will expire relatively soon and the panel will most likely change. Will we have a new record then too? Like I said the spin record is useless if we are putting citations on what is the "real" record. The only time I have heard it brought up is when someone is close to breaking it, which I don't really qualify that as being talked about at length. People don't sit around her and discuss the spin records of Lady Marmalade or Poker Face. Thus why I said people who are interested in the spin record are a selected few on Pulse. Meaning there are only a few choice few who care enough about it to debate it. The conversation about the spin record in this thread was one of the very few times I heard the spin record actually be debated and conversed about on this form. Usually other conversations consist of "phat mama gonna get that spin record1111!!!!1111" or "23 spins away", etc. Which doesn't really qualify for at length discussion. WTF? I post in this thread for musical discussion, I am sorry if my posts don't fit your quota of useless spamming of the thread. ? but Monroe always comes to defend Britney at even the slightest hint of Brit negativity (or at completely random times), that's for sure. This is incredibly hypocritical just because their are many fans of others who do the same thing. Just food for thought but I am no where near as defensive of Britney as some of the fans of Beyonce and Gaga. Whenever someone says something negative about Britney I usually just ignore it or brush it off, unless I truly disagree with what they are saying. However with the two fan groups above literally, any kind of criticism what so ever of those two is greeted with vehement disagreement and anger at times. Just take a look at how the Gagatrons act whenever someone brings up the fact that her singles sound alike.

I am discussing it because it was something two other posters debated about and my name was brought in it. That's why it's being discussed. Surely you can follow that logic?

Wow, 4 number ones in a calendar year. I don't think that's happend in decades. Maybe the Bee Gees or Beatles or Elvis.

Monroe may be annoying at times, sure, but at least she isn't rude and condescending like so many other s.tans on this board. I can think of several members that are 10x worse than her.

Like I said the spin record is useless if we are putting citations on what is the "real" record. It's a milestone. Stop being so knitpicky. It's perfectly fair to say a certain song is the longest running #1 of the year, or the decade, or whathaveyou. As long as the criteria is there when mentioning it, people understand that it's not necessarily the record. The only time I have heard it brought up is when someone is close to breaking it, which I don't really qualify that as being talked about at length. ^ I thought Ace of Base and Alanis did that too Nope. As far as I know, Ace Of Base only had two #1s. 'The Sign' and 'Don't Turn Around'. 'All That She Wants' reached #2, I believe. Alanis didn't either, sadly. Her first album had three #1s in 1996. She DID get five #1s in a row though with two further single releases in 1998!

Just take a look at how the Gagatrons act whenever someone brings up the fact that her singles sound alike. Well of course there are fans of others who do the same thing. I never said there weren't. You are the biggest s.tan of any of them on this board though, from what I've seen. And please don't talk about hypocritical in the same post where you also slam two entire fan groups. I think someone needs to take a good look in the mirror. And of course people are going to defend ridiculous statements like all Gaga's singles sound alike. Only someone who obviously has something against her would make such a statement, because it is abundantly clear to most of us (Gaga fans or not), that her 4 singles do not sound the same. If that were the case, you're calling millions upon millions of people that made them huge hits idiots, because they would have to be if they're making the same song a hit 4 times in a row. If you don't want to be picked on, stop dropping ludicrous statements left and right.

Yeah I'll just leave it there then, numerous posters have stated that Bad Romance, Poker Face, Just Dance and LoveGame sound alike so it's not as if I am some weirdo saying that they are all alike. Obviously other posters have had similar comments and it's been well documented within this form. As to me being "picked on" I could careless, I post my opinion and I am not going to deny my thoughts simply because a few over zealous fans are angered by it.
Just lol at my "slamming". I said that the fan groups were defensive, it seems as if you are correlating defensive as an insult when that wasn't the case what so ever.

Didn't Straight Up, Cold Hearted, Forever Your Girl, and Opposites Attract from Paula's debut all peak at #1 on CHR in '89?

Jesus had several disciples; considering Gaga has already impacted CHR in one year more than Jesus has in over a millenium, I think it's only fitting that she have as many or more disciples than Him.
