As KAMP fills in the small hole left between KIIS and KPWR (AMP is not even playing "Use Somebody," which even its equally Rhythmic-leaning cousin NOW in NY added), I noticed that KIIS is playing a lot of Pop material, especially during its "New Music" hour.
To prove my case -
A. KIIS spins "Waking Up in Vegas" and "You Belong With Me" a decent amount of spins (latter getting even 50 - 60 spins a week). Both song aren't exactly Fitting in the playlist that's satuarized with likes of BEP, Pitbull and Fabolous.
B. KIIS added "Use Somebody" before it went Top Ten and still spins it somewhere around 30 times a week. Remember that this was the station that didn't add "Love Song" even when it went Number One and only played "Bubbly" 10 times a week.
C. KIIS plays a lot of non-Rhythmic music during it's "New Music" hour. It played Daughtry's "No Surprise," Pink's "Please Don't Leave Me" (of course KIIS didn't add both songs yet, but still), and biggest surprise of all, Michael Franti & Spearhead's "Say Hey (I Love You)."
So, my question is, will KIIS get even higher rating by leaning less Rhythmic? Does any station that's between KBIG (which gets very good rating) and KIIS has a chance of succeeding in LA? And if KIIS becomes less Rhythmic leaning, how can it affect the CHR chart?

They've definitely improved since KAMP came along. They aren't exactly the ideal CHR station yet and still ignore too many songs and add a few too many random rhythmic hits, they're a LOT better than they were this time last year. This time last year they probably wouldn't have touched Use Somebody (at least not unless it hit like, #1) and would probably not have given Taylor Swift the light of day either. We all thought KAMP would be good because we thought it might lean more mainstream than KIIS, but it turns out it might be good for the opposite reason - it's so incredibly rhythmic-leaning that it'll force KIIS to lean mainstream.

This sounds good! We need more real CHR stations.

KAMP has changed KIIS a bit, but I still think KIIS and KAMP sohlud both count towards rhythmic, not pop.
