I'm gonna say, I'm surprised this song seems to be going nowhere. Maybe it's too pop sounding or too similar to 'No One'? Will this eventually explode? I'm still thinking it may start gaining a LOT in the next few weeks... or maybe single #2 will be the bigger hit?

Wow! Surprised Alicia's first single flopped. The song isn't that good(not bad either) but I thought her name alone would bring it at least top 40. Oh well, TSWABH is beyond amazing, and her album will still sell a bunch!

I can't say I'm too surprised at this flopping. It was basically made for Urban AC. She failed to cater to her major formats with this single and its chart performance is a reflection of that. The second single should fare better on all formats. Looks like the label should have listened to Alicia on this one. The label went the safe route by picking this (while Alicia wanted TSWABH) and it bit them in the ass.

I saw the video this week and listened to the song for the first time. Yeah, it gave me a NoOne vibe at the beginning, and I liked it at first. I was working, so not 100% paying attention, but I realized that after hearing half of the song, I was not caught by any hook. Then I stopped and tried to realze what was going on. The same melody throughout the song, the same keyboard with minimum changes, like a flat song that doesn't really go anywhere after it is finished. It is not a bad song. It is just underwhelming and maybe more AC-friendly than Pop. Like, I could use it for my working time along with music from Annie Lennox, Sarah McLachlan, Dido, Sarah Brightman and just leave it there as background music that I know won't disturb me but won't make me memorize or think of the song either. That's my impression at least. I liked No One a lot even from first listen (only issue for me was her raw vocals, but the song was really good), but this one not that much. To me, it could have been much better with other type of production (not so lazy) and changes in melody.

Very disappointed that this didn't do anything at Pop. Peaked at #3 Urban AC / #13 Urban / #18 Rhythmic. Can't be too upset and call it a flop, because it got a decent amount of airplay. I agree that it is probably too similar to No One for Pop, though.
