Good evening, everyone. I’m me5671 and I’m here today to present the award for Best Performance in a Video. It takes more than just a catchy beat, a compelling storyline, and a hot artist to make a great video. The best videos also require artists to deliver a killer performance that gets people talking. These next 6 videos are all examples of performance excellence.
Don’t Trust Me, 3Oh!3. This new group consists of two guys from Colorado. They teamed up to make a video as unique and bizarre as their bandname (which, by the way, stands for a Colorado area code).
Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It), Beyonce. The former front-woman of Destiny’s Child got people talking with a fun and elaborate dance routine in this video.
Boom Boom Pow, Black Eyed Peas. This next song and video is one of the most polarizing efforts to come out this year. Depending on who you talk to, it is either the worst or the best song and video you will ever come across. One thing we can all agree on, though, is that this group released one successful smash video here.
She Loves Everybody, Chester French. This underdog artist achieved success by making this great video this year.
Hot ‘N’ Cold, Katy Perry. This new artist burst onto the scene with the controversial hit, ‘I Kissed A Girl’ last summer. This year, she released the follow-up video to great success. In doing so, she also proved that she can is here to stay.
Paparazzi, Lady Gaga. This rising star has had quite a successful year, thanks to fun and innovative videos like this one.

And, now, we have a very special performance from you. This veteran artist is one of the hardest-working stars in the business. Since her rise to fame in the late 90’s, she has released 3 studio albums as a solo artist and 4 albums as a member of the hot group, Destiny’s Child. She has delivered hit after hit over the past 10 years, yet still remains a humble and gracious person. Here to perform for you tonight is Beyonce Knowles.

Hi everyone, it’s ME again. This next award that I am presenting is very important. Men, it turns out, can do more than kill spiders, use power tools, and not ask for directions when we're lost... we can make killer music videos, too!
Here are this year's nominees:
Best I Ever Had, Drake. This newcomer's success has come as a surprise to many. We haven't heard much from any of the *other* stars of Degrassi. They certainly haven't made a video as good as Drake's.
We Made You, Eminem. This veteran rapper had one interesting comeback this year. This amazing video, the feud with Mariah, and the Bruno incident have all ensured that people were talking about him all year long.
Right Round, Flo Rida. This artist took a sweet, 80s classic love song and turned it into a song about, well, a different kind of love I guess! It doesn't matter, because the video's awesome.
D.O.A. (Death of Auto-Tune), Jay-Z. He and wife Beyonce have both had a very successful year. In this video, he continues his legacy of excellence.
Day 'N' Night, Kid Cudi. Sure, this artist's name may be awkward, but the video is definitely a worthy contender.
Love Lockdown, Kanye West. Though many would call him certain other words beginning with A, Kanye is truly definition of an artist (and he'll be the first to tell you so!) Kanye's never afraid to do something different with his craft, which he did with this video.

There are many of aspiring musicians in today's world, in which only some can make it. Being nominated for a BEST NEW ARTIST awards doesn't mean you have your career in the bag, but these artists seem to be on their way.
