The remix would have to be along the lines of a J.Lo "Ain't It Funny" or "I'm Real" for this song to have any chance at being a hit.

Z100 gave this a test spin a few months ago and the response was extremely positive. The only reason they didn't add it was because it wasn't an official single and Taylor had it performed it the night before at the Grammys.

How do we know the response was "extremely positive"? Did Elvis say it or something?

There are too many slow, ballad type songs on radio/going to radio right now. I like this, but it's really a coin toss whether or not it will do well. I kinda feel it would do well just because it's her and radio seems to like her. But I dunno...

I think it will depend on how the pop remix is. If the pop mix is good then it should do fine - not great, but fine. If it's not or if it's similar to the original it may not perform too well.

LOL, after the announcement of this being sent to pop, it goes negative on pop. It currently in unbulleted with a -3. www.mmr247.com/mmrweb/Reports/Reg/EMD.asp?SOngID=1614740&NumDays=7 2 spins. Ironically, the two pop stations playing this (last week when it had 5 spins) were KRBE (Houston - #6) :o and KZCH (Wichita - #99), two top 100 stations. One of which is top 10!

Overreaction... This will do just fine the way it is. No doubt about it.

YNS is a beautiful song. It's the obvious choice IMO, but I can't cry over spilt milk.

Well, it seems obvious to me that they're not going to release anything from the re-release then, because if there was something really good on it they would have pushed to release that instead of ol' "Fifteen". Anyways... not my favorite choice. Send it to country, fine. Send it to pop, not so sure. Really wish that they had went with "You're Not Sorry", "Forever & Always", or "Fearless".
Helk, I kind of feel bad for "White Horse" not being released to pop over this. I guess any hope for having that song sent to pop is now crushed. Overall, not their best choice.

I'm shocked at this decision. Just a plain bad choice or is there a method to Universal's madness?

Should've been 'You're Not Sorry.' i am interested to see how this perform in pop.a flop or hit?based on her name. It will probably be at least a minor hit based on her momentum alone, but it's one of the weakest on the album (IMO), so I don't really see it getting past top 20.

i guess so,i am not her fan but i hear the whole album then only i judge.i love "youre not sorry" just one listen and love this the most from the album than "you belong with me" and "love story".most of her songs in the album are not standout for me,i mean the lyrics are great but radio wise,i kinda forget them all other than the singles she had released and "youre not sorry".
so i again i am curios to see how this perform.

She should have left this in Country radio. And yes, +1 for "You're Not Sorry" as 3rd pop single! ;)

Taylor had one re-release for her first album, will have one for her second. Yeah, because one re-release for albums is so desperate and disgusting. I bet Rihanna regrets her/her label's decision 24/7. Just because without the re-release Fearless has sold about a million more than that other country woman cu's 2nd album despite being released a year later and following up a much smaller album than cu's debut - especially given that with each year that passes by album sales are getting smaller [Taylor's: #1 of last year; cu's debut: #2 of the albums released that year] - is no reason to be a troll. Esp on Taylor's thread.
Yeah, I'd prefer YNS or a new song since the adds date is just a week before the r-r.

I think Fifteen deserves a chance on CHR - if it doesn't work they can just try another song

I think it won't be to bad.. It's a great country song, if they put a pop mix on it and it is going to get spins just because she is one of the biggest artists now. I predict a Top 10 peak. They have lots of great singles after this for pop, so no worries: You're Not Sorry (CSI Remix), Fearless, Tell Me Why and Forever & Always could make good #1's

this will probably pull a White Horse type run on CHR/POP and not do much White Horse was never sent for adds. doesn't matter. White Horse wasn't sent for a reason and Fifteen shouldn't have been sent either. I will seriously be so upset if they remix this, its one of the few songs of hers that will be ruined by a remix. Even if they remix this it won't do well. I love Taylor but I'm getting sick of these remixes. Maybe this will be a wake up call for her if this fails. a lot of her country fans on her fan boards are sick of this. By all means sent the songs to pop but don't remix it, if they really like her music and like her how she is then they will play it regardless but going out of your way to be do this and then saying your not doing anything to help your pop success along is rediculous and not true

I think they're getting overly optimistic with this. There was a reason they sent Love Story and YbWM to pop, they were 2 of her more pop songs on the album and thast why it worked. Fifteen is too country, even if you remix it it will still be too country.

This will probably peak around number 15 on the Hot 100. Just like Britney will peak at #3. Irony is already crazy like how One Week was #1 for one week.

I wanted them to release whatever was 5th at country to pop (Fearless, You're Not Sorry) and for now just have the Boys Like Girls duet at pop radio. I really think she's about to have a backlash of overexposure. :(

The remix would have to be along the lines of a J.Lo "Ain't It Funny" or "I'm Real" for this song to have any chance at being a hit. Attention music directors! Expect Fifteen (Murder Inc. Remix) - Taylor Swift featuring Ja Rule on your desk!
