That probably only means they're waiting for the remix to be finished. The same thing happened to YBWM.

Taylor performing Fifteen at benefit concert: We Are All For The Hall on October 14th, 2009.
Headlined by Keith Urban, this concert aims to raise money for the Country Music Hall Of Fame and Museum.
Performers included other luminaries of country music :Brad Paisley,Vince Gill,Little Big Town,Dierks Bentley,Lady Antebellum,Jason Aldean and Faith Hill.
Loved Taylor's acoustic take on Fifteen.

^She sounded awesome! If this is going to be released at pop, I at least hope it's HUGE.

WHY is this song getting released to Pop radio? I wish Taylor would just stick to Country radio...

I am a huge Taylor Swift fan but this song is not for POP radio and of all the songs on her album this is the one where I really can't stand her voice.

I'm not too concerned about how well this song does TBH--I mean, it's not as if Taylor is short of single success is she? Fifteen IMO is just too intimate and personal a song for Pop-single success but it's the type of song that helps an album sell well and helps give an album gravity,to off-set the fun and fluffy songs like YBWM. And yes I like performances where Taylor keeps it simple, just like when she performed Fifteen at the benefit concert, when its just Taylor and her 12-string guitar.

I love taylor but I really think that fifteen is gonna flop on pop This is assuming they send out the original mix; a good remix could easily make this song Pop radio friendly.

^^ I think this is one of her few songs that will be ruined by a pop remix

And of *course* they're going to remix this. This is WAY more country than Love Story & You Belong With Me, not remixing it wouldn't make sense.

they need to remix this for sure but i think they're going to ruin its appeal by doing so. I think White Horse and Fifteen are the 2 songs she has that shouldn't be remixed

I could see White Horse sounding weird re-mixed, but I think this song could be made stronger with a remix...I like this song a lot, but it's too droning to catch a lot of people's attention, so if they made the instrumental slightly more interesting and added more build-up and "power" moments, it could do a lot to change a lot of people's opinion on this song (particularly people who aren't fans of country music).

I like it a lot. She really ought to release a pop mix of the album, atleast overseas :(

Eh....that pop mix is not going to help much. It's just as droning as the country version. Guess I'll go with a #15-20 peak, unfortunately. Now officially calling this a bad choice. Hopefully she'll release Forever & Always or Fearless 4th and it can pull a WUIV and radio can pretend this never happened.

How is she country again? Not to be obtuse but seriously all of her singles this era don't even sound like country songs. They sound like the stuff Colbie Calliat sings a hybrid of pop-acoustic-hot ac style songs. Just because you include a banjo every once and a while doesn't make you country.

How was what I said negative? I just said that her songs from Fearless don't sound country. Her debut album sounded very country, Our Song, Should Of Said No, Tim McGraw all sounded country to me. Her stuff off of Fearless doesn't sound country at all.

I could see that being true about Love Story and You Belong With Me, but this song is pretty country, as was White Horse, IMO.

Ah, the age-old is she or isn't she country "debate" which seems to come up every other day on Pulse; it never gets old or repetitive (seemingly everyone seems to forget country/pop artists do exist)! This debate, the debate over Kelly's weight and the discussions dealing with Beyonce's credibility as a songwriter should all have their own separate threads so they don't fill page after page after page after page after page after page after page after page in various threads all over the forum. As much as it is discussed we could have 4 parts to each topic at this point.
Anyways, is there anything new with the remix aside from the addition of drums?

I honesty could give a crap about this "Taylor is pop!!!!1!!1! OMGZ!!1!11!!!" crap now. The remix is a 6/10. Period.

Taylor is definately country, i just feel as if theres some of her songs that shouldn't be remixed. Fifteen is my favorite Taylor song by far, and i just don't think it should have been remixed and even after it was its still too country to do well on pop.

It sounds like they layered a the standard drum beat on Yamaha keyboards on the track. That said, it's my favorite Taylor song so I hope it does well.

Yeah, I don't get why they barely changed this at all, yet they changed YBWM & Love Story more when they needed them a lot less...

This is a good song, but why, oh, why was "You're Not Sorry" the next pop song? That would have done HUGE things for Taylor. I'm not sure if this'll do much at pop, but I hope it does so Taylor can release a better single after this one.
And I may be in the minority on this, but the Country versions of her past pop crossover hits such as YBWM and LS >>>>>>>>>>>> pop remixes.

Hopefully the download of the pop edit will leak somewhere even if it isn't for sale like "You Belong With Me." In my vehicle, my friends usually prefer the pop versions of her songs. To me, I prefer the originals, but hey. This remix is probably the worst. Of her remixes I would rank: 1. You Belong With Me. 2. Teardrops on my Guitars 3. Our Song 4. Love Story 5. Picture to Burn 6. Fifteen That's all of her singles that have been remixed because I'm pretty for sure "Tim McGraw," "Should've Said No" & "White Horse" didn't have pop edits.
