Credit to Mikey at CF for this find. Country Weekly Reviewed Play On! They gave it a 4-Star "Outstanding" rating!!!Here's the review from CW writer Chris Neal: "Carrie Underwood's much-anticipated third album finds the superstar consolidating her style, firmly staking out her corner of the pop-country landscape. Sassy tracks like "Songs Like This" and the first single, "Cowboy Cassanova" find her in full kiss-off mode, while the socially conscious ballads "Temporary Home" and "Change" are delivered with the firm conviction their sentiments require. Play On is clearly a career-building reiteration of the considerable strengths Carrie showcased on her first two albums. "The only big surprise here is in the writing credits, which are filled with names like Max Martin, Kara DioGuardi, Mike Elizondo and Chantal Kreviazuk -- songwriters typically associated with pop acts like Britney Spears and Avril Lavigne. (Never fear, longtime Carrie co-writers like Luke Laird are also well-represented.) While such a roster of collaborators would typically signal a crossover bid, Play On is straightforward contemporary country in the mold of Carrie's first two albums. That suggests that in Carrie we have an artist who has found her direction and won't be thrown off course." In the spirit of Thanksgiving, Green Turkey, anyone? lol Thanx to Vinman for screencapping this!

I guess they still see her as the reigning CMA FvOTY? lol Tsharky, we know it's you! The promo looks great. I was at a friends house yesterday and they saw that and said "Hey Stephen, isn't that your girlfriend" (they make fun of my love for Carrie, but she rocks ), but after the commercial they continued "bitch looks funny. She's hot too. I may watch this." So it's working for my friends. Plus I've been promoting the HELL out of the special. Seriously I deserve a cut of the promotional budget.

Or they perceive this year's result as invalid. That would make them delusional. It was probably just a typo plus it makes her sound even better in their write up to be the reigning, instead of a past winner.

No. I knew they were showing one during Glee but assumed it the was the same one. I guess never assume next time. I'm sure there will be more opportunities to get that one between now and Dec 7th. If any of you spoit it, let me know before hand. Speaking of Carrie, i found another interview on Dec 2nd by KISS 99.9. Pretty funny. LINKETA: I guess its somewhat of an honor if someone covers your cover PFT.

It's going to be a great show over-all so I'm fine with whenever she performs. Plus the CNN Hero of the Year is a fellow Filipino :)

I thought it would be hard to get on with the show because of how late it is here, but all the stories are keeping me awake... so inspirational... loved the kid that lost his legs and now helps other kids by giving them prosthetics!! :) Now that is CHANGE!! Hope Carrie's song inspires as much as all 10 heroes' stories!!
*edit*
was Carrie crying when they showed her right now??

I wonder if there will be a spike on Itunes sales of "Change" after the airing. I know alot of people are watching or tuned in late to watch the CNN show.

I still feel the same way about Change. I don't think it's at the level of TH, SWISLY, LAM, and WCIS, but I do think it's a lot better than Mama's Song.

WOW...you know I kinda felt guilty because I turned this show on to watch because Carrie was performing. Now I am sooooo glad her performance was near the end because I watched the entire show and it was totally worth it. These people are so inspiring, they make you wanna get up in the morning and go and help someone that needs it. What a wonderful way to spend a Thanksgiving evening. Makes me truly thankful for what I have. What amazing heroes...so hard to pick a winner out of that bunch as they all are wonderful.
Carrie's performance was so heartfelt. Loved it!

The "send up a prayer into the dark" line in "Change" is probably my single most favorite moment on the entire CD. Love her conviction. Outstanding performance on the CNN show.

I did not watch this show to cry or to be moved, but both happened! Not only that, I witnessed one of Carrie's best performances to date!!! Absolutely flawless; filled with emotion and meaning. Of course the perfect vocals helped!!! Every performance is a big slap in the face to the CMAs and I love it!!! Really though, I can honestly say this was one of her best performances to date!

I couldn't have said it better myself. What an amazing show and I feel really inspired from watching it. :'( Carrie's performance really moved me as well. I, along with some of you I see, never really appreciated the song but after watching that performance, I have realized how powerful it really is. She really might change the world with that song. :)

Carrie is a goddess and that performance proves it. One of her best live performances of all time. The emotion, the vocals, everything was perfect.
