Can't believe there already wasn't a topic for this. I looked.
Video was shot back on October 8. Saw an ad for this on AllAccess.com a couple weeks back. Apparently it's going for adds November 17. What the hell, guys? With so much already in place for this song, how could those of you who are so quick to start topics as soon as preliminary details like these pop up drop the ball like this? This is Paramore, for Pete's sake. And I seem to recall a lot of enthusiasm for this song elsewhere. Anyway...
Basically, I want to rave about this song. By far my favorite from Brand New Eyes. (Just because Paramore typeset it in lowercase on the album, I don't understand why nearly every publication I've seen types it that way too.) This wasn't even immediate the first several times I listened to the album, as there weren't any particular standouts at first. Over time, though, this has grown on me considerably. I'm already charting it and it's sure to be a future #1 on my chart as soon as promotion kicks in. Giving the album my full attention this afternoon, this song made the hairs on my arms and neck stand up.
Pushing it even further for me is a recurring guitar line in the song, the tone of which makes me recall the guitar solo in "Dreamworld" by Rilo Kiley. Not only is that an amazing song, I have very warm and fuzzy memories of playing the hell out of RK's Under the Blacklight album in my car on beautiful fall afternoons exactly two years ago. Usually while driving to work.

I'll have to listen to this a few more times. Maybe this will grow on me over time the way it did for you. On first listen for me, there wasn't enough that popped out to keep it from being a filler-level Paramore album track.

I like this, but It's far from my top 5 songs of Brand New Eyes. Not really radio material.

I would have rather have had "Careful" or "Looking Up" but this would be my third choice. I can't see it doing tremendously well. Probably about as good as "That's What You Get."

Nick, I'm gonna have to take your word for it that this is a grower because I've listened to it a few times and the word boring would have come to mind to me even if it weren't in the title. I'm definitely not liking this album anywhere close to what I thought of the last one.

I'm with Stereo and Matt on this. But since every single Paramore single has been a grower for me, we'll just wait and see.

Careful should be the next single, definitely. After that, I'm not really sure...Maybe Looking Up?

Top 30 on Alternative: 33 30 PARAMORE Brick By Boring Brick 364 301 63 1.222 Ugh, it's about time. I can only hope that the new year is kind to this song's growth and takes it up the chart where it belongs.

They've grown on me leaps and bounds from the beginning. I mean, I'm not some huge fan or anything, but I acknowledge that they've got great songs now. I didn't fully appreciate "Decode" at the time, but now I'd say it's their best song and was a deserving #1. This is my second favorite Paramore song.

I like how there's 223 spins between this song and the #21 song.

I just like how it finally knocked "Feel Good Drag" out of the Top 20, 10 unofficial weeks later, so I can finally stop tracking the song and adjusting everything down one spot each week. Mediabase needs a proofreader sometimes. (And while I'm at it, if they're gonna purge dying songs from the Top 40, they need a rule with actual defined parameters.)

So it took about three months for this to FINALLY grow on me. Still not sure it be a long lasting song for me but for now at least its gotten to a nice listenable level.

Top 50 on Active ey? Interesting. This is a pretty faultless track. Airplay on harder rock stations will just come as a bonus.

I still wish that Ignorance had done a little better. Competition was intense though. If this goes top five, it will compensate though.

I seem to hear this almost everyday over the past few weeks either on WPBZ or just randomly in a store or it comes up on Pandora. I can't say I'm entirely sick of it yet, but I am tired of having that last "Ba da ba da da ba da da. Da da da da. Da da. Da. Da" line in my head constantly.

Though I'm sure my secondary Alt station plays it a lot, I'm rarely in a part of town where I can pick the signal up. So I still haven't even heard this on the radio yet, period.

I had only heard this one because I saw the video a few times on Fuse (I don't have Fuse at home, I was at a buddy's house when I saw the video). Now I just heard "Ignorance" for the first time on my pop station the other day. I checked the pop thread for the song and saw that apparently they gave that one a second push to pop radio instead of pushing BBBB. Weird, I like BBBB a bit more and would think it would be the bigger pop hit.

WPBZ is IMO one of the best stations in the country as far as variety of what's on the chart so I really don't have many complaints about it, but as I'm looking at KPNT's playlist now, they seem to play quite a few songs that I haven't heard on WPBZ and they do seem a little more Active leaning. Sure, why not the hell not for a week
