Anyone catch M.I.A. perform "Born Free" on Letterman last night? It was funny to watch. She had like 10 look-a-likes surrounding her and they were singing the song together. I'm sure there were people in the audience like "WTF?" is this?

25-30k for next week. Kala opened with 29k so at least there's some consistency.

I love you, Big Mac. How come Iz What It Iz never gets mentioned in reviews from the album and how come no one responded to my comment about it sounding like Rihanna?

The booklet for the CD is interesting. Some of the songs have complete lyrics, while others have some of the lyrics missing or covered up by artwork. This is shaping up to be one of my favorite albums of the year, although it takes getting used to. To me, M.I.A. never disappoints and always keeps it fresh. Steppin Up is KILLIN' it right now. I love Space as well but I can not get over that little guitar lick that sounds like a 3rd Eye Blind song. At one point, I was convinced it was from Teenage Dirtbag but I am afraid it's going to haunt me forever. The clip is so small that when I play it for people, they have no idea what I am talking about. Pff...

Got around to listening to this. Not really impressed on the first listen. She gets credit for trying to add new elements to her sound, but it has come at the expense of song structure, which imo, was a REALLY strong point for both of her previous albums. About half of these tracks don't stand up to anything on Kala to me. Her attempts at electronica are dated too with vocal effects and beats that sound they've come from industrial records from the second half of the 90s. Only XXXO and It Takes A Muscle stand out as superb to me. Oh well, maybe it'll grow on me .

She went IN on those picture whores on Social Media Sites such as Facebook and Myspace, who love adding those corny ass glitter and reflection effects onto their photos.

Love the video and I love how it's gotten over 270k views in just 24 hours; some artists with more commercial success have taken days to receive that many views.

Jay-Z's verse on the remix of "Rex-x-x-o" makes the song.
Minaj on the remix of "Teqkilla" is the shizzle.

Will she release anything to american radio? Teqkilla with Miraj isn't a disastrous gamble to take I guess.
