Coming Soon!Tracy Lawrence " Hard Times" (BamaJam Records) Source: Tracy Lawrence Interviews (Clips) After a few years of operating his own record label, Lawrence recently signed with new imprint BamaJam Records where he is working with James Stroud, the man who discovered him and produced his first three records. (APR 30) releasing his upcoming album, "Hard Times," on BamaJam Records instead of his own label, Rocky Comfort (JUL 02) Interesting. I guess that means Rocky Comfort Records is done and means that Michael Scott and Zona Jones are now 'label less.'

This isn't the full article about Jason Aldean from Country Weekly with Jason on the cover. It comes from a the Kelly Clarkson Express, so they posted the section about Jason and Kelly's duet. Even though it's not the whole article hopefully it will be of interest to the Country music fans that read this thread...

Release Date Change: JAN 11 (2011)Source(s): Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Amazon Must not be having high hopes for "Just By Being You (H&W)" After a Top 5 hit, I'd imagine they'd still release the album in September, even if the second single may need more time to grow.

Even if they wanted to leave room for "Just By Being You" to grow pushing it back till November would've probably been sufficent. They must be going back into studio or something, cause it seems like a long push just to let it grow, as it's about to break top 30, and it's been moving decently.

I think this is more of a marketing strategy to try and get the record 'buzzworthy' and by releasing in January, they get to have the album debut higher (and gain more press) than being released in the sea of new releases in the 4th quarter.

That makes total sense; there's literally a big name artist releasing a CD every single week from Sept 14th through like Nov 9th, and there's potential for more to be added to the list too, of course.

I'm glad Trace Adkins is getting a "career" greatest hits released. I might get it but I don't think it's going to sell well.

Yes, and I'm glad that Capitol is doing this long after the release of Cowboy's Back In Town and not trying to compete with it like BBR did with Craig Morgan's Greatest Hits (releasing it a week before Craig's BNA debut).

MCA did that to Trisha Yearwood too, when they released Greatest Hits a week or two before Heaven, Heartache And The Power Of Love.

If we're adding to the list, I think they release Gretchen Wilson's Greatest Hits relatively close to the release of I Got Your Country Right Here as well.

I thought Heaven, Heartache And The Power Of Love was released on Big Machine Records. It was, but the Greatest Hits record was released by MCA after she parted ways w/ the label, and deliberately so that it may compete w/ her new studio album, it seems.

^ I was thinkin' the same thing. Its a picturesque view in the background and the way his clothing matches the colors of the sky, bridge, and water is like a stroke of genious. They should have whoever did the Darius Rucker cover art whip those responsible for the string of bad artworks into shape., hehe =)

God. I love these two. I doubt they can top their debut, but this sounds nice enough.

I just heard clips of five songs from the upcoming Rascal Flatts album. The titles are: "I Won't Let Go," "Try," "Sunday Morning," "Play" and "Easy." I wrote down the lyrics from the clips of all five, and have posted them, along with a few words about each here. I'm not a Flatts fan and these clips don't offer me much to encourage me to change my mind. I will say that the production and LeVox's vocal histrionics do seem to have been turned down a notch, which is a positive development. But the songs strike me as very ordinary and nowhere near the level of Flatts' best.

Various Artists - " Coal Miner's Daughter: A Tribute To Loretta Lynn" (Album Cover) & Details Personally chosen by Loretta herself, the list is a who's-who of country and rock favorites including Sheryl Crow, Steve Earle, Faith Hill, Alan Jackson, Kid Rock, Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride, Allison Moorer, Paramore, Reba McEntire, Carrie Underwood, the White Stripes, Lucinda Williams, Gretchen Wilson and Lee Ann Womack. Source: Amazon & The Boot I'm looking foward to this. Especially Hayley Williams' cover of 'You Ain't Woman Enough'. Her live performances of it were amazing.

I'm pleasantly surprised that Paramore got a spot on the Loretta Lynn tribute. I think that they'll contribute "Fist City" since they play it in concert often.

^ This album has been on my Xmas wish list since I heard the song "Leaving Home;" if the album is even half as good as that song, it'll be amazing. She's got one helluva voice and its a shame she's put out so many singles only to have 1 of them chart.

Love the Lynn cover too. I'm guessing the track listing/artist pairings haven't been released yet? Very interested to see who sings what. There are some great names on that artist list.
