NOV 16th, 2010 Keith Urban Get Closer Capitol Records sourceNice title! While I thought it was too early for a new album at first, I'm really liking all the info that's being released now. From the title to the Sarah Buxton co-writte. I'm ready now.

I'm sure I've missed something, but the list is finally updated.

[/u] #KEITH URBAN | Get Closer (Capitol Records Nashville) #RASCAL FLATTS | Nothing Like This (Big Machine Records) [/quote] That should be interesting. I think Keith Urban should wait until the next week, because Rascal Flatts' new album is likely going to prevent his from being a #1 album.

^ I agree... I somehow believed that RF would release their album at the end of this month, not November. However, I see them releasing another single before the album comes out for some odd reason. Heard that Nothing Like This isn't anything special anyways.
More looking forward to Keith's release that RF's although I hope RF can recover from their latest efforts. :-\

I think the album is lined up for release about the right time for "Why Wait" to reach its peak, which I believe will be #1. Even though Rascal Flatts seems to be a bit less of a hot commodity at the moment, I still think they could easily outsell Keith Urban. Which is why I think that Keith should wait until the week after to release his album.
But they'll both be successful, so not a big deal I guess.

Is it just me or does Walker Hayes look like Jerrod Niemann?

He kinda does.
Actually he looks like a cross between Jerrod and Matthew Modine with some Justin Bieber hair thrown in for good measure. ;)

Has anyone heard about upcoming Christmas albums being released this year? The only one I can recall right now is Shelby Lynne.

I do like this from what I've been able to hear, however, I think his new single is the worst on the album.

Then again, it all depends on the material on the albums. Only time will truly tell.

A bit disappointing on first listen. The production isn't nearly as diverse as on Sunset Man. Not a lot of bad songs, just fairly middle of the road.

Yep... they def. made some miss-steps with the Freight Train album, considering how successful Good Time was. I'll be interested in what he decides to do next.

From my count Alan only has 27 #1's, what are the other's they're counting?
01. Wanted - 1990 02. I'd Love You All Over Again - 1991 03. Don't Rock The Jukebox - 1991 04. Someday - 1991 05. Dallas - 1992 06. Love's Got A Hold On You - 1992 07. She's Got THe Rhythm (And I Got The Blues) - 1992 08. Chattahoochee - 1993 09. Summertime Blues - 1994 10. Living On Love - 1994 11. Gone Country - 1994 12. I Don't Even Know Your Name - 1995 13. Tall, Tall Trees - 1995 14. I'll Try - 1996 15. Home - 1996 16. Little Bitty - 1996 17. There Goes - 1997 18. Right On The Money - 1998 19. It Must Be Love - 2000 20. Where I Come From - 2001 21. Where Were You (When The World Stopped Turning) - 2001 22. Drive (For Daddy Gene) - 2002 23. It's Five O'Clock Somewhere - 2003 24. Remember When - 2003 25. Small Town Southern Man - 2007 26. Good Time - 2008 27. Country Boy - 2008
I'm guessing it'll be all the other top 3 hits, but I don't quite get why they do that when they put these things together.
So 28. Here In The Real World - #2 29. Chasin' That Neon Rainbow - #2 30. Midnight In Montgomery - #3 31*. Tonight I Climbed The Wall - #4 (Who am I kidding this is probably his least remembered, my fave though) 31. Mercury Blues - #2 32. (Who Says) You Can't Have It All - #4 33. Who's Cheatin' Who - #2 34. Between THe Devil And Me - #2 35. I'll Go On Loving You - #3
Then THere's Gone Crazy - #4 Little Man - #3 Work In Progress - #3 That'd Be Alright - #2
Btw, was "It's Alright To Be A Redneck" pulled for "Where Were You"?

Btw, was "It's Alright To Be A Redneck" pulled for "Where Were You"? Yes. It had just started its run when Alan wrote and recorded "Where Were You...". This hits package leads me to believe that Alan is indeed leaving Arista after Freight Train runs its course (which it may already have). I'm surprised that they got permission to include "As She's Walking Away" on the album, but it should help to drum up interest for the project. Plus, it will likely go #1 and complete Alan's #1's collection.

George Strait's '50 Number Ones' was similarly mistitled, since neither 'Run' nor 'Cowboys Like Us' hit #1.

NOV 23Alan Jackson " 34 Number Ones" (Arista) I would assume this means Jackson is leaving Arista.

NOV 23Alan Jackson " 34 Number Ones" (Arista) I would assume this means Jackson is leaving Arista. Yes. He made that fairly clear in a couple of interviews prior to the release of Freight Train. I'm pretty disappointed in this record. It went from being one of my most anticipated of the year to me doubting I even bother purchasing it. What always made Otto's music so good to me (besides a GREAT voice) is that he managed to do a great mix of country music with just a pinch of R&B to keep it interesting. That's flipped on this record. It sounds like a old school R&B record with just a pinch of country(if any at all) this time out. I'll wait til I can preview the entire record since I wasted all my free plays on Joey + Rory (Damn I HATE Rhapsody listening party's!). But from what I hear, the best two songs have already been released . I'll more then likely just download Soldiers & Jesus & save my cash for Joey + Rory & Jamey Johnson that week. Those both sound VERY solid.

If Alan is going anywhere it's likely gonna be Bigger Picture like ZBB in conjunction with his own shingle/label. Bigger Picture is run by AJ's longtime producer Keith Stegall.
