*MTV names Jessie James the breakout female pop star of 2009, in their Top 20 Under 25 list
www.youtube.com/watch?v=JzWoldjy-hs
*Jessie will be on MTV's Silent Library January 28th at 6:30 PM EST/PST. *She will be recording the new album this month and in february. *I CAN SAY She already have a great POP, CATCHY, ADDICTIVE track on her hands, that has potential to be a summer hit, there is some eletronic elements mixed with pop rock sound like P!nk did!! *Maybe this new album will be pop/rock.

I'm really excited for a new album (her debut was one of my favorite albums released in '09), but at the same time, I'm disappointed that they're giving up on the current one so soon. It's a damn shame that 'Bullet', 'My Cowboy' and 'Burn It Up' will never be released.
Also, I'm not too thrilled about the prospect of her going the electro-pop route. I love how she mixed elements from both pop and country on her first album, and I was hoping she would continue with that sound on her second. Oh, well...I guess beggars can't be choosers.

Diego so were plans to release My Cowboy to country canceled? Almost 100% canceled. Her manager told me they will think bout releasing a third single for the ''Jessie James'' but they arent positive bout it :( Jessie told me the label was thinking bout releasing Psycho Girlfriend (REMIX) but she wanted ''Bullet'' so bad. Unfortunetaly I have to agree I loved the mix of country with other genres, but Jessie wont be accept on country scene, she gotta choose one style to follow now, just one genre I think. People should got mad and confused bout her image, its like a teen image, sometimes sounds like a fatal woman... a lil mess on it. I think wont be the eletro pop, its like songs of Pink, ''So What'' pop rock with a lil of synth's on it! I love this kind of songs! The new demo is catchy, fantastic its an uptempo, loud drums on the chorus, guitar riffs on the intro, a lil of synth's on the chorus! Its ADDICTIVE! I want this as single! Smells summer hit ITS THE MOST RADIOPHONIC AND COMMERCIAL SOUND she has ever made! Dont sounds like the ''dated'' Wanted! Definitely this is how she needs to do music!

Diego what Demo?
I agree I loved how she mixed the genres but I guess she is a little too risque for country.

I think she should do songs like Carrie's "Cowboy Casanova". I've always thought it fitted Jessie perfectly.

I think she should do songs like Carrie's "Cowboy Casanova". I've always thought it fitted Jessie perfectly. I think this demo is so similar to Carrie's songs! Please vote:
On Jessie's debut album, many genres were fused ranging from a blend of hip-hop and country on "Blue Jeans," dance and rock on "Big Mouth," and pop with a twang on the debut single, "Wanted." What genre would you like to see more of on Jessie's next album? Vote in the poll below!

Very happy she's getting another shot. I'd love to see her continue to flirt between the boundaries of country and pop, a la My Cowboy. Venturing into the electropop territory will also be really cool

NEW ALBUM INFOS!Jessie is currently in the studio working on her sophomore album! The follow-up to the #1 Pop iTunes debut album containing the hit singles "Wanted," "I Look So Good (Without You)," and "My Cowboy" is tentatively set to be released this summer. She will be working with some familiar names, such as Mitch Allan (who produced "Wanted" and has worked with Faith Hill and Daughtry), John Rich (who produced "My Cowboy" and has worked with Jewel and Gretchen Wilson), and Ted Bruner (who produced "Bullet" and "Girl Next Door" and has worked with Katy Perry and Hinder). In addition to collaborating with the same writers and producers who contributed to her debut album, Jessie will also work with some new names, including John Fields (P!nk, Miley Cyrus).Judging by this list of producers, it looks like Jessie will once again create an eclectic sound fusing many different genres that is uniquely Jessie James! I think the best move would be for her to focus on "breaking into" country radio.

I think the best move would be for her to focus on "breaking into" country radio. Hmm how I already said here... she will never conquer country public totally, she is not respected there cuz she is so intimidating :( So sad, cuz she is really good on country. But she confirmed to me this album will be POP directionared, but we will have lil of country! I think she wont stop to mix all these styles!

Had they handled her differently, I could've seen her being successful on country radio.
In my opinion Bullet could have been a big hit on country radio.

She wished so hard ''Bullet'' as second single, the label changed everything and IMO choose the worst songs to be single, that songs dont show really what Jessie James is in her cd: a mix of pop, country, hip hop, that singles sounds like normal songs that we can listen to on the radio.
My Cowboy is a great single choice, but wasnt relesead on radio, no promotion to make it a digital huge single...if it was released as her debut single I think she could have a different history.
Cant wait til summer.

I'm glad they aren't pushing her on country anymore. Playing the country angle, she was too pop for country and too country for pop. Dropping that shtick, I have no doubts she'll be more successful the second time around (whether she'll be truly successful though, I don't know).

Something is wrong on JJF new.
John Fields already worked with Jessie on ''Inevitable''
so the context of this new got messed lol!
But I know she will work with a hiphop/R&B produced no well know yet, he already worked with Pitbull. But she made a pop/rock demo to her, thats is the demo Ive already heard. She told me not tell who is this producer yet :(

Has there been any word on whether they're considering putting any of the older demos on the new record or if they're going for entirely new material?
For some reason, I have a feeling they (the label) might try to rely more on outside writers this time and less on Jessie co-writing.

Want more Bullet type songs. Said it once and I'll say it again, that could have been a MEGA smash had it been released instead of Wanted. I understand the strategy behind Wanted, with her name and all, but Bullet is just great.

Didn't she say that she wanted to put 'Newnan High' on this album? When I spoke to her in June she said she definitely wanted Newnan High on the second album, as I was telling her how much I loved it. But now that she's focusing on making a pop album, I'd be surprised if it's included.
