Sorry to those who thought this was a re-release thread I was just trying to make the threads have a new theme, instead of the usual Part 2 or roman numerals. But anyways! "Rude Boy" is the official next single & I think it's going to do amazing! Just the title will make people's interest rise.

I'm so sad I was right about "Rated R" being all about her label letting her have her way ala "My December" and then releasing a pop-ier album this year. When Ryan Tedder said he was writting for Riri, I said "Maybe a rerelease". But now Ke$ha has said that she has just submitted a song for her, and there's no way in hell a Ke$ha's song would fit on "Rated R". I'd love to hear Riri ft. Ke$ha, but I want "Fire Bomb" and "Photographs" to see a single release.

Obviously they decided not to use it for whatever reason. Some fansite reported it as new, and now every blog is reporting it as such lol

Still, I think that two albums were cooked there. I mean, we have "Rated R", and then people like Dr. Luke, Ke$ha, and Yelle's producers that are not on the record, as well as "Bubble Pop". It's obvious to me that at first, DefJam was going to make her jump in the electropop bandwagon.

I hope RihRih stays true to her urban roots. If she does jump in the wagon, I hope she and her team manage to fusion her more urban-leaning sound with the new electro-pop trends. Something new and fresh.

Something new and fresh. Stick to her Urban roots? No she needs to ride the line of Pop and Urban Pop like she's been doing. Disturbia and SOS are her biggest hits: both electro-pop at its finest.

I prefer the more urban RihRih. Disturbia has some sort of urban influence imo. What I mean is, I wouldn't want her to become another Gaga. I want her to maintain her sound, while still adding the electro-pop elements.

It's obvious to me that at first, DefJam was going to make her jump in the electropop bandwagon. Bubble Pop actually came from her 2007 sessions with Will. But I agree that something fishy did go on during the production of this album. There were so many rumored and confirmed producers/writers & we saw Rihanna entering and leaving studios for a year now. Yet, we got an album with a small set of producers/writers, and most of the songs seemed to be recorded toward the last month or so. Plans for the album got switched somewhere along the lines.
