I don't get "Fire Bomb". After many listens, it still hasn't grown on me. The tracks I like that haven't released (in order)..."Cold Case Love" (my absolute favourite), "Photographs", "Rockstar 101" (the clubs love it), and "Te Amo"."Hard" is awesome, "Russian Roulette" is okay (the dance remixes are better), and "Wait Your Turn" is awesome as well!! Hmm. Those four (plus "Stupid in Love") are the only tracks I skip on the album.

I skip "Photographs". Rihanna's part is very good, but Will. I. Am's part is vomit inducing.

I find "Photographs" to be tolerable at best; if that gets released to radio, I hope that a Wil.I.Am-less version gets released as well...I can only take so much of it after listening to BEP a lot.

I'm warming up to the idea of "Photographs" as a single but mainly because of how popular the Peas' sound is at the moment. I'm fine with is as the final single from this era. For the most part, "Photographs" sounds like it could have been another track on The E.N.D.. There are stronger tracks which better exemplify Rated R particularly "Fire Bomb." It's tough to deny FB's bridge and lyrical content.

It wouldn't make sense to release 8 singles from this album. After Rude Boy, two more singles should be released and then let Rihanna do her touring and take a break.
"Photographs" could benefit from BEP's charting reign and the fact that it's different. I have no faith in "Fire Bomb", but it could do something on Pop alone.

There are still many singles left on this album, whether you like it or not. Wait You Turn, Rockstar 101 and G4L should all be sent to urban stations sometime while Fire Bomb and Photographs are top 5 pop hits waiting to happen. Single choices have been perfect thus far, so I hope they'll continue to make good choices.
After Rude Boy...
Fire Bomb (all formats + worldwide) Photographs (pop, rhythmic + worldwide) / Rockstar 101 (Urban, maybe AAA and Hot AC) G4L (all formats) / Te Amo (worldwide) The Last Song (radio edit) (pop + worldwide) / Wait Your Turn (urban)

There's no way "Wait Your Turn" will be a single. I was thinking the next singles should be "Firebomb" and "Photographs" but I get the feeling she doesn't want to release all these songs about Chris anymore. I think she'll probably do FB and then maybe "Rockstar"

Realistically...2 singles could be released after "Rude Boy". Could be "Fire Bomb" (Pop), "Cold Case Love" (all formats), "Photographs" (Pop/Rhythmic), or "Rockstar 101" (all formats). "Wait Your Turn" was a buzz single, "Te Amo" is too much in line with "Rude Boy", "The Last Song" doesn't have a chance, and "G4L" isn't a strong enough single. She won't get play from HAC or AAA.

She needs to release one more single and move on. This isn't the GGGB era and I wouldn't risk another "flop" this era. If she wants to take another risk, I'd go with "Rockstar 101". There's nothing like that on radio right now. If she wants to be safe then she needs to release "Fire Bomb". It screams late spring/summer anthem and then she can release ANOTHER album this fall with a new sound and image.

I was being sarcastic when I said flop; regarding RR. Even though it was a success worldwide it wasn't in the USA.

Looks like I was right. Word on the street is that a new album is being released later this summer.
While the source at Def Jam tells Ikon the quick push to release a new album is because “Ri wants to get across that she’s moved on from the dark period she was in when recording the ‘Rated R’ songs,” our source says that’s only part of the reason. The label is said to be unhappy with Rated R’s current performance. The album has been certified platinum in the United States and has had two top 10 singles with another, the snappy island-flavored “Rude Boy,” moving up the charts quickly, but it appears it hasn’t yet lived up to the label’s big projections or massive investments.
Our source says “Rude Boy” will likely be Rated R’s final single with the new album and tour taking priority after promotion ends. {Source 1}
Asked about what we should expect from Rihanna’s new album, my insider continued: “Ri wants to get across that she’s moved on from the dark period she was in when recording the ‘Rated R’ songs. So expect more upbeat, dance tunes, similar to ‘Don’t Stop the Music’ and ‘Disturbia’. {Source 2}

I would be very surprised if the new cd came out this summer, but I definitely could see a new one by the end of the year. She is already talking about recording again. One more huge single after Rude Boy would carry her through summer, a month or two break, and then BAM dominating the fall holiday season.

Bitch better NOT go there and release new ish when this era has JUST got into gear. If you weren't committed to supporting this album for a longer time, then why make it? Why noy bide some more time and wait for the rainbows and Umbrellas and flowers and Don't Stop The Musics to inspire you again!?
This album has far too much potencial and I believe it had the hits to back it up. It took GGGB to get to the re-release before it really took off, sales wise... give this project some time and whilst it will not sell as well as GGGB, it will do well (and is still selling very consistently!) I wanted a tour from this album. Looks like we may not get it...
Listen I love happy Resus, but anything she releases from here on out will not sell like GGGB. That was her BIG seller and with sales going as badly has they have been, I can't see another album selling as well.

That is what I am saying. It is selling consistently and should do well IF she tours and releases the right singles from it. If she drops it now to make another album... I may loose some respect for her. This is a superb body of work.

I predict at 2 or 3 more singles from Rated R:
Photographs Cold Case Love Rockstar 101

I think there's most likely going to be only one or two more singles, and I don't see them releasing different songs for selected formats. Just see how Hard peaked as high as it did because it had a mix of formats supporting it. Had they released it to Urban and Rhytmic only, it would have done worse. RiRi needs as much airplay as she can get to ensure a good peak for her singles.

Yeah exactly there not going to release one to just urban, one to just pop, etc. After Rude Boy they should release Fire Bomb in the U.S. and Photographs worldwide. And she should re-release after that with a mix of dark songs like Rated R and some GGGB songs.
