I'm having problems loading tonight's issue. I've tried several times on multiple browsers but it just won't load. Wondering if someone could maybe save the PDF file and send it to me in an email? That'd be really appreciated if someone could help me out--if anyone can, send me a PM and then I'll give my email address.

I always test my link to make sure it works. I have had to use IE to open it when Mozilla didn't work. Did you try that?

^Yeah, I used IE, Mozilla, and Chrome and none of them would load it so it's probably just my dumb internet connection. Jordan Stacey is gonna try to attach the PDF file to an email and send it to me, so hopefully that'll work. Otherwise I'll just try my luck loading it tomorrow.

This was from Country Aircheck Weekly 2 weeks ago (the October 8th issue). The Mediabase panel will be expanding by 5 stations this week. Listed below is the snippet from CAW, detailing the addition of 7 new stations. Below the list, it notes that 2 stations will be removed, but I haven't seen any announcement yet on what two were set to leave. The new reporters are: • KAWO/Boise • KRYS/Corpus Christi • KHGE/Fresno • WUSJ/Jackson, MS • WYCT/Pensacola • WTHT/Portland ME • KTTS/Springfield MO.
Two stations being removed from the panel will be announced next Monday.
MB and CA are also revising the Current Music Percentage guidelines used in reporter selection. MB/CA Country reporters have long been required to maintain a minimum Current Music Percentage of 25%. Effective immediately, Current Percentages for reporter eligibility will be determined utilizing airplay between 6am-Midnight, Sunday-Saturday. The minimum Current Percentage remains 25%. Airplay between Midnight-6am will continue to be included in the chart.
The Current Percentages without overnights will soon be available on the Mediabase website. Enforcement of the new policy will begin in early November. We feel it is only fair to allow stations falling below 25% under the new guidelines to have the chance to meet them. Those stations – there are fewer than five – will be notified of their revised current percentage in the coming days. New weights will be printed in an upcoming Country Aircheck Weekly - Lon Helton

I wonder if this is going to make things even harder for newer artists. I suspect a lot of stations play new artists during the way-off peak hours of midnight to 6 a.m. to help meet their current music percentages. Since those hours no longer figure into the percentage, it seems there could be even less incentive to give new artists play.
I suppose it's possible some stations will move those newer artists into the 6 a.m. to midnight time slots to help with the percentages, but I suspect they'll simply add more plays for songs already being played during those 18 hours.

Well, new music between 12 AM and 6 AM will still be included in the chart, so they can still play newer artists' songs (or anyone's songs) in the overnight hours. I think it's just Country Aircheck's way of trying to make sure that a minimum of 25% of the music played between 6 AM and midnight is new music. This will really put the pressure on Cumulus, because a lot of their stations rely on syndicated overnight programming to meet the current music percentage policy.
