Anyone who doesn't rank "Stoned" as F should be shot ;)

Saving Abel is so irrelevant that to find some reason to stretch this thread to 2 pages, we had to revert to a band that was at one time relevant but now is almost as sad as Saving Abel.

It's fair to say you're a big fan of Saving Abel then.

18 Days wasn't terrible. That's the best compliment I can give them.

Anyone who doesn't rank "Stoned" "Spaceship" as F should be shot ;) Fixed. I don't hate "Stoned" because while it's lyrically just as terrible as "Spaceship", it's musically sorta Alice In Chains-esque. Not as good mind you, but the attempt at something slightly interesting harmonically was there, which I appreciate.

How dare you put Puddle of Mudd in the same sentence as Alice in Chains. Another offence in which you should be shot.

^^You just did it yourself buddy. =)
And as Puddle Of Mudd is post-grunge, when they're not trying to be cock rock, one of the bands that they no doubt emulate is Alice In Chains. The harmonies at the intro of "Famous" are a quintessential attempt at emulating Alice In Chains. Do they ever succeed? Nope.

I like how we all agree that "Blurry" is the by far the best single from their catalog and I certainly have to agree. Besides "Spaceship" & "Stoned," I don't think I'd rate any of their songs lower than a C, but I'd probably only give "Blurry" an A.

Should've named it "Sex is God." Though it'd still suck, it'd at least be controversial.

I'm not going to grade this. Being #1 on either of these lists isn't an accomplishment.

jdmasta289's personal chart in 2009: Saving Abel and Buckcherry might crack the lower end of the chart. jdmasta289's personal chart in 2010: Saving Abel and Buckcherry never existed!!! I promise!!!!
Enjoy the hundreds of thousands you made from your last album, though, boys. I woulda done the same thang. (There, now I'll win Austin Winkler's heart over. Oh, he's not Austin Winkler? Eh, who notices?)

I don't even care if the song is good or not... I just want them to add a bracketed title that reads (Obvious Guy Says) Sex is Good.....

So now that I've heard the song. I like it. It's funny that judging a book by the cover ie) taking the title as being the "worst thing ever", makes it interesting to actually see the difference. Its a stripped down song that can easily be interpreted as a guy who's addicted to a girl he's not that into just because she's good in bed. Oh knows! They are talking about sex!
I know some of you will take this comment to personally so try not to but......the overall complaining about "cock rock" music is getting old. Rock has many levels. Some are just fun party type lyrics. Meant to be fun, not taken to be Shakespearean drama in their intensity. I'm not saying you have to like it or be into it but honestly the incessant whining of "oh cock rock sucks and is the end of my tiny little world" is bordering on obsessive with some comments. Get over it. Just move on and pretend it doesn't exist. It's too bad those of you who seem to find it to be the end of rock music, can't just have a laugh at it. You know the bands are. If I never hear the term "cock rock" again, it'll be too soon.

Disagreed. Sex Is Good (from what I remember from several months ago) is a more typical Saving Abel song and more radio friendly. This sounds so much dumber than Hollywood to me. And? That's not a compelling argument there. It's radio friendly, it's typical, and it's still dumb as fuck.

Nothing personal, but "dumb as fuϲk" isn't much of an argument outside of a middle school. You're kind of laying your cards on the table there, and they aren't so good. The whole point that it is more radio friendly is why it would get played, as the band intends. Nothing more needed. Disagreed. It's concise, straight to the point, and it's easily understandable in multiple cultures. What kind of terminology would you use?

This is seriously one of the worst songs I've ever heard, but it will easily do better than "Stupid Girl (Only in Hollywood), which is a halfway decent song. It's a shame because their album has other choices that are also decent, but this is just pure crap.
