No release date, but XM claims this is out in March from a NEW album. I had no idea they were making another album. I assume this will continue by the title with the theme of their last CD. Tongue in cheek I'm sure, but these guys can rock.
EDIT : MODIFIED TITLE

This obviously has NO chance at NOT being cock-rock. I'll listen, but I'm already disappointed they're not willing to grow.

I was really hoping this wasn't going to be the single, but I guess hope doesn't mean much in the face of reality.

I'm guessing this will have "Use Me" type success, then the rest of the album will have mediocre success

XM played it today. It's heavy enough. Haven't heard an acoustic one yet. But many of you are judging the song by its title. From one time through it, the song is basically a love song to an ex-lover who was good in bed. It's not about sleeping with everyone like the title may suggest. lockebox posted the link to a free download of the acoustic version. And lyrically Artie I agree, you got the song meaning exactly right, it's not about Tiger Woodsing your way through life like so many cock rock songs are

it's not about Tiger Woodsing your way through life. What a great way of putting it. But tbh I don't care what the song is about. It's poor both musically and lyrically.

I kinda figured "18 Days" and "Drowning (Face Down)" might end up being flukes, even if they were 2 for 3 up to now. After all, Puddle of Mudd was also 2 for 3 at one point and those 2 ended up being by far the best they'd ever have to offer.

He meant that "Control" sucked, "Blurry" was very good and "Drift & Die" was decent. (That's my guess to his opinion, anyway; I would give all three songs a slightly higher grade than that. "Control" made the top 50 of my personal chart, "Blurry" hit #1 and "Drift & Die" hit the top 10.)

My personal chart didn't start until just after those songs were out, but "Blurry" and "Dirft & Die" would've both been top 20s for me at least, possibly top 10 for the former. And "Control" did indeed blow.

You will see very quickly that I don't really like Puddle of Mudd. My ratings are likely fairly similar to what Matt's and Mega's would be based on their earlier comments:
1. Blurry A 2. Drift and Die B+ 3. Spin You Around B 4. Heel Over Head B- 5. Stoned C+ 6. Control C 7. Psycho C 8. Away From Me C- 9. Famous C- 10. We Don't Have To Look Back Now C- 11. Livin' On Borrowed Time D+ 12. She Hates Me D 13. Spaceship F
And given this is a Saving Abel thread: 1. Drowning (Face Down) B 2. Sex Is Good C+ (extrapolated from acoustic version what I think rock version will sound like). 3. Addicted C 4. 18 Days C-
I'm not any harsher a grader than most people; these just really aren't among my favorite bands.

I wouldn't think 10 year olds would know about sex. Haha. They must do things differently in Missouri ;) Seriously, guys? ??? Of course I know this is all fun and games and innocent kidding and whatnot, but even taking everything literally, I didn't say I was having sex at 10 years old. Far from it. But I learned about sex very early in grade school. Puberty I already knew about by 10. Even female puberty. My mom gave me all the puberty books in the house when we came home from seeing My Girl at the movies. I was 10 when that movie came out. Even from a musical standpoint, I was 10 when I got into pop music. I secretly listened to tons of music and watched tons of videos my parents would have had a major problem with me hearing and seeing, had they actually monitored any of it closely. I didn't have MTV. I had The Box, where most bets were off and stuff that was exclusive to Yo! MTV Raps or was otherwise banished till 10pm or later on MTV, if not banned altogether, was shown regularly at any hour on demand among everything else. I was a sponge. I didn't discriminate. I knew enough to switch the channel or station, though, when questionable stuff was on and my parents were about to enter the room. Besides it's not like I was only listening to inappropriate stuff. Far from it. What is inappropriate, though, if I knew I was mature enough to handle it and I turned out great? My mom and dad did a great job as parents and I used good judgment based on how I was being raised. Sorry for the tangent, there. Basically, what I'm really trying to say is, there's no integrity to a song called "Sex Is Good" if Saving Abel is the artist.
