Everybody in here needs to shut the fuck up. You all make me embarrassed to like Mariah and Madonna.

^lol. madonna is a joke in america. 50 year women singing songs about going to the club and dirty sex is not appealing at all. Yet she sells more concert tickets and now albums in the US than Mariah. Think before you post.

Her recent troubles and commercial potential in the immediate future are Diminishing Returns 101. Diminishing Returns only applies to singles...as we have seen from her flop singles getting worse and worse. Glitter sold 600k Charmbracelet sold 1.2 million Mimi sold 6.3 million So you theory is proven WRONG!!! LOL. What do *those* albums have to do with her RECENT releases, i.e. what I BLATANTLY referred to? TEOM - 6 million E=MC2 - 1.3 million MOAIA - 500,000 Diminishing Returns 101.

Her recent troubles and commercial potential in the immediate future are Diminishing Returns 101. LOL @ her CD only sellin 75k during Thanksgiving week. What are you smoking? *sigh* READ please. Where did I mention first week sales? I was referring to total sales --- even if she released another album in the middle of the holiday season this year it would struggle to sell half of the 500,000 that MOAIA has sold. People just aren't interested now.

Even if she releases Thanksgiving week (the biggest week, not Xmas) the album would struggle to sell half of what MOAIA has sold. So this as-yet-to-exist album is a flop before even being recorded? New levels of Umm... yes, it is.

ten years from now madonna will be sixty... can she still be on steroids and showing her pudenda to ill-fated cameras? can she still be humping floors and saddles just so she can sell out stadiums? She sells out stadiums because of her reputation as an amazing performer that puts on unmatched live experiences. This trolling isn't winning you or Mimi any points.

Looks pretty good for a 50 year old with no make up on, tired as can be, and pulling a face.

Why is there even a thread about a new album? She hasn't even recorded one song yet.

Why do people take fhscott100's bait every time? What the hell are you on about? He was merely responding to the pathetic lambs projecting their frustration on to a singer he happens to like.

Anyhoo, I've been listening to Mariah a lot with this new Spring and Summer weather. She has a lot of summer-feel songs.
- Touch My Body - Migrate - Fantasy - Dreamlover - Fourth Of July - It's Like That - Stay The Night - Honey remix - Underneath The Stars - I'll Be Loving You Long Time
Total summer songs.

Regardless, this latest stansm (stan spasm) wasn't caused by him in any fashion. Nobody's come off well in this thread so far by any means, but 90% of fhtscott's posts on this board are in the Mariah Carey thread when he clearly hates her and lives to create Madonna vs. Mariah fan-wars.

Can this useless artist-bashing END, please?
This is a Mariah thread. It's clear some of us don't like Madonna. But this is not the place or the time to start a fan-war. Not that there should be any somewhere else, but still...

OMG PDC. just get a life! Stop post-whoring in this thread. Facts are facts. And I love how *I'm* the post whore and need "to get a life" when in fact I'm the only person in this thread discussing the issue that isn't trashing either singer and throwing out childish nicknames.

Thing is, there isn't actually an issue. There isn't even an album at this point.

You guys are KILLING me. I'm at work and want to laugh so loud.
LOL @ the poster saying we get the new Xmas album this fall rumor every year!!! LOL! Yes, we do. Mariah is the biggest LIAR in the music industry. Remember the Xmas musical she was working on. LMAO!!! That's why I believe Eminem over her.
Also LOL @ anyone thinking Mariah is irrelevant. As proven time and time again, it's all because of wrong single choices. If "Migrate" and "Side Effects" and "Im That Chick" were singles please believe the album will be at over 3 million by now.
Also "Memoirs" is selling exactly as it should be. With only 1 #8 Pop hit and the rest flops, what other numbers is she suppose to be pulling, really?
Mariah is gonna go back in the studio and create 12 perfect pop songs and come back even STRONGER than the Mimi comeback and have her 19th, 20th, and 21st #1 singles. Can't wait!!!

LOL the picture of the left made my day XD Hmm I'm really interested to see what it will be like. If MOAIA was going back to her roots sort of; I hope the next album is something fresh. I can't see the album coming out very soon though. I think she'll take longer to work on it as she is having new acting oppotunities and the fact that MOAIA underperformed quite severly.

She needs to do a couple movies. Make that money Mimi!!! After Precious and the new Tyler Perry movies, she needs to get away from the hood movies because I don't want her to put herself in a box ala Vivica A Fox and Gabrielle Union.
She REALLY needs to do a comedy. That would be a great breakout role for her.

LOL! My baby Mariah sure brings the drama!!
Ok, so probable album in the works, huh? I hope & think she will take her time with this one.
From any genre of music, who'd be your ideal writers & producers you'd like to see that chick we love work with?

From any genre of music, who'd be your ideal writers & producers you'd like to see that chick we love work with? I'd love for her to experiment a little...do something completely different for her. I'd really like to hear her do something with Mark Ronson; plenty of live instruments. Would be great for her to just get in the studio and try some different sounds. If it works perfect, if not then she has some bonus tracks/b-sides to play with!

Mariah in New Tyler Perry Movie Black Voices has learned that writer/director/producer Tyler Perry has selected the cast for next film, "For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow is Enuf."
At last night's premiere for his latest film, "Why Did I Get Married Too?," the black box-office maverick revealed that the cast will include Janet Jackson, Mariah Carey, Whoopi Goldberg, Phylicia Rashad, Jurnee Smollett, Kimberly Elise, Kerry Washington, and Macy Gray.
Based on Ntozake Shange's award-winning 1975 play, the film is scheduled to shoot in June in New York with a possible winter 2010/2011 release date.
The riveting play, consisting of a series of poems performed through a cast of nameless women, known only by a color -- deal with such subjects as love, abandonment, rape, and abortion, garnered much acclaim, becoming the toast of Broadway when it opened at The Booth Theater in 1976.
It later morphed into an Emmy Award nominated television special and is still being performed around the world.
Elise and Carey are the only two that made the cut from Perry's initial wish list that he mentioned back in September 2009, which initially included 16-time Grammy Award winner Beyonce Knowles, Academy Award winner Halle Berry and media queen Oprah Winfrey.
"Making a film of 'For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When The Rainbow is Enuf' is a dream come true for me," Perry said about the project. "Ntozake Shange's play is a magnificent tribute to the strength and dignity of women of color, and I think audiences of all generations will be able to recognize and embrace the experiences these women represent. Creatively, this movie is one of the most exciting undertakings of my career."
As previously reported by Black Voices, 'For Colored Girls' will be the first project for 34th Street Films, Perry's new production company, which is housed at Lionsgate.
