I absolutely can't wait for their new album. I loved "The '59' Sound" (album) and they've become one of my favorite new bands very quickly.

Although I only moderately got into the album I did like the song "The '59 Sound" enough to make me at least give the new album a listen. I'm not sure that I'm anticipating impacting me too much though.

I just listened to the title track or single. Whatever you want to call it. I like it A LOT. It sounds less poppy than anything on the last album. I know they're very Springsteen influenced, but this REALLY sounds a lot like him. Man, I hope this does well.

I wasn't blown away by the first listen, but I'm still going to buy the record the week it comes out.

I've heard the album once and as I'm blown away by it as I was by the 59' Sound album. Of course I'd have to hear "Boxer" again to really make a determination on whether or not I think it's a good choice, but there were some really standout songs on there that were much better than the title track. I recall there was even one with some rapping at the beginning.
Whichever critic wrote of them "The Gaslight Anthem are like something out of speculative fiction: this is what pop music would be if Springsteen hadn't listened to his producer, let The Ramones record Hungry Heart, and launched the C.B.G.B.'ers into megastardom." is completely true in my opinion.

I listened to the album for a second time. Great choice for a next single and I would have gone with this or either the "Stay Lucky" or "The Spirit of Jazz" as they're all great tracks. This was the song I mention had sort of rapping at the beginning, but it's very brief.
