I didn't see a thread for this, even though it went for adds quite a while ago.

another poor showing for OK Go. I think the title of the song refers to their career at this point.

Well they did take what, five years to put out a follow-up? And now they're not even on a label anymore.

It's an alright song, but as usual for OK Go, it has a pretty tremendous music video
Always nice to see a Rube Goldberg Machine in a music video.
Like "Here It Goes Again", I suspect its going to get some airplay based on the popularity of the music video.

It's an alright song, but as usual for OK Go, it has a pretty tremendous music video :o I'd read about it for awhile, but this was the first time I actually watched it. Oh my God! :o Your move, The Bravery. (Though I do like "An Honest Mistake" a million times more than this song.) Unfortunately, per usual, their bitchin' music videos don't make me like their mediocre songs any more. And another thing: Why did they waste this video concept on "This Too Shall Pass" when the song already had a rad marching band video? ???

They already had this idea for "This Too Shall Pass" and were planning it before they filmed the marching band video. From what i've heard, they only did the Marching Band video because they had pressure from their now-former label EMI to create a video for the song before the album came out. They had alot of problems with EMI, mostly dealing with the fact that EMI kept removing the embedding off the band's Youtube videos. The band's singer Damian Kulash Jr. wrote an op-ed in the New York Times explaining their problems with EMI shortly before they decided to leave the label.
