With Mathew out of the picture, can she have a hit?
Premieres sometime next week with the video being shot in the next 2-3 weeks. So far she's only performed it live and it sounds AMAZING!
ANTHEM!!!!

It's good, but she already had a hit outside the US that got nowhere in the US with Guetta after she dropped Mathew, so I don't know if this could get anywhere..

IMO Matthew never held Kelly back, she was always best as a supporting act

Sounds good. But I don't think this will be released as a single in the U.S. I think something more urban will be selected.

sounds like a smash, and with her new image on bravo and having some additional publicity with the last Guetta cd, she should get top 20 with this at least if her label releases it. Ill buy it.
Work (Freemasons Remix) is still one of my favorite things with her.

massive where music itself rules (you know, melodies, catchy hooks etc.), mediocre where music itself doesn't rule (image, industry shenanigans, less musical folks etc.).

No it hasnt leaked.
It was so disappointing when WLTO didnt do well here, but I think part of the problem was that Guetta hadn't really established himself in the mainstream yet.
I think this will do well and it's exactly what radio is playing right now. Sounds hot!

IMO Matthew never held Kelly back, she was always best as a supporting act Exactly. And that's why When Love Takes Over was such a huge flop.

"WLTO" was a #1 dance hit, won a Grammy for best remixed recording, and was an international hit all over. Just because it charted low on the Hot 100, is it really considered a flop?
I'm hoping this takes off, it sounds KILLER

When Love Takes Over was nowhere near a flop, it was probably one of the biggest dance hits of the year, all the club kids know&love that song. Not to mention it was a mega mainstream hit in Europe.

Yeah outside of the US, When Love Takes Over was a bigger hit than any Destiny's Child or Beyoncé single.

Well not really. It was a BIG hit though.
WW success, GET IT KELLY!
Stole, and Work were major. She has the fanbase. She needs to concentrate on world wide sales. She does Dance well. Forget the US for now, if they won't respond.

i'm always surprised to see how awful WTLO charted on the HOT 100 or on CHR. Seriously, maybe it was just my stations (z100 or 92.3 -- i can't remember which i was listening to at the time) but I heard that song CONSTANTLY. No joke. Everybody knew that song.

Yeah outside of the US, When Love Takes Over was a bigger hit than any Destiny's Child or Beyoncé single. Well I would still say Single Ladies & Crazy In Love were bigger hits, but When Love Takes Over was definitely approaching that level.

I guess it's debatable. Single Ladies didn't have a proper international release. Crazy In Love was Beyoncé's biggest international hit, but it still underperformed in many European countries. I think When Love Takes Over had more widespread popularity.
