One of my personal favorite all time lead singers gets set to release his upcoming solo album and even though it kind of sounds like he was a bit of a prick at the end his dealing with his former band "Live" I still can't help but want to hear him.
Single to be released to radio June 15th allaccess
I've heard the song on youtube and I like it......It sounds like Live, so that works for me.

Is this really going to rock radio? Live's last few songs have only gone to Hot AC and maybe AAA.

Seeing as how Live hasn't had a real presence anywhere on radio since 2003, I think we can write this one off.

I'm interested in hearing this as I grew up on Live, but yeah I have to agree, this will probably do nothing on Alternative radio.

Wow, this is better than anything off the last three Live albums. This could have done some damage on rock radio when they were at the height of their popularity. Maybe it still can. It's a really likable rock song.

Kind of a shame he's a douche who tried to screw his former band members financially.

Yeah, that's true. I guess I'll have to illegally download his album and buy Live plus singer from Candlebox's album (whatever they're called again).

Yeah man, the Ed situation is really messed-up... I though he was a buddhist and that they weren't about material possessions, I'm horribly disappointed in him especially since I had an awesome connecting experience with him at a gig back in about '99. I actually began to notice the change in him since the released of the "V" album.
I also thought they were only on Hiatus... Has someone heard different?
I hope they can work it out... and take it back to the Secret Samadhi sound.

The other Live members have said they're never going to work with him again, so I'd say Live has flatlined.

There will be too much touring money on the table for the band to be totally done. I love Ed's new single. It just totally rocks. The new album is titled "Alive" will be released in the states on July 6th.

I personally think that Ed is getting a raw deal with the break-up. The other three band members took their complaints to the net in a very immature move. They basically told one side of a story, with Ed not wanting to stoop to their level and start an internet war.
Having listened to clips from both albums, for me Ed was clearly the driving force behind Live's sound. The rest have come up with some classic rock thing. If you're a fan of that style of music, you'll like it. It just wasn't my thing.

This is a great song and I think it may actually do decent on Active.

^ Thanks.
I'm curious to hear what Ed has to say for himself. That's pretty awful that he'd screw over his best friends since middle school like that after all those years.

He wanted to not be a part of ensemble music anymore. Ed got no raw deal, he actually is lucky to be still making music. He should have ended up in the clink. If you call internet wars saying things on twitter or facebook in the heat of the moment a war....... thank god you have no idea what a war is.

You revived a 4-year old thread on a single that no one has thought about let alone talked about for over three years to bring this back up? Really? Just talk about it in the thread for the new Live song. This is dead and buried. If you wanted to quote this to engage this poster in the Live thread, then just copy that text from this thread and bring it over there. A song that did very little on the charts in 2010 should not have a thread revival four years later, especially when there's a current thread in which to discuss the topic. This is just a little board etiquette tip should you decide to continue posting here, and I welcome you to do so. Just PLEASE don't revive 4-year old threads without a REALLY good reason. :)
