Jive did an amazing job on Jordin's debut album, but they completely lost it this past year. This song will flop like there's no tomorrow on CHR (and might even fail to reach top 20 on HAC).
OMG Before We Come Undone is so screaming to be released. Are they the only ones who can't see it? Even Can't Stay Away would be a good choice. Something UPBEAT.

I think this will do fine on Hot AC (top 20 at least), but I doubt it'll do anything in pop. Kind of surprised they're releasing it to pop at all.

Why no 'Alright With Me'. Seems like that woulda had the best chance on Pop, IMO. Here's my total guess as to what Jive is doing - they always thought of Kris as a Hot AC artist (they said so right from the outset). IMO, even if there are songs that are more poppy than The Truth on his album, I don't think anything else besides LLWD (the most CHR song on the album) would do well on CHR. Therefore, Jive is basically putting all its eggs in the Hot AC basket, and going with a song that is *clearly* Hot AC. Hot AC can sell some records, because the audience is slightly older than the pop audience. And, generally, it's easier for a label to push to Hot AC than to CHR, since CHR is far more competitive. So, minimal effort may get The Truth charting pretty high on Hot AC and selling a few more albums. I think Jive is doing the most cost-effective thing by releasing The Truth. And I think they're releasing it to CHR just to see how it'll do, but I doubt they'll be a big push in this format. |

NO!!! Before We Come Undone and Alright With Me both have better shots at success, on both CHR and HOT AC. I actually though that BWCU could have done better than LLWD.

I still don't get why the hell they gave the best part of the song to Pat... they could have let him sing the second verse and some line from the last chorus... that would have been a decent collaboration, not this weid mess... Oh, well, they'll learn the hard way... I just hope if this tanks, they send BWCU or AWM inmediately...

jive can't honestly believe this will do anything on CHR do they? lol.
probably not, and this won't get much of a push here from them either. the second single should have been released like a month ago after that annoying first single peaked, which did well surprisingly.
shame. he was the first person in a while from idol that i was rooting for to do well.

This is actually a good song but as a single it's way too low-key and mellow; especially in this upbeat Pop climate. This will likely do little to nothing.
Also, Pat's addition to this song is unnecessary and just makes the end sound like a boring clusterf**k. I almost want to say that he ruins it. His version of the bridge adds nothing. It just seems so random and pointless.

This song got 9 Hot AC adds today -- tied for the 4th most of any song. That is a pretty good start, I'd say. Station PDs and DJs like Kris -- he's built up a lot of good will doing all the radio promotion/gigs.
KLLC in SF is already spinning it a ton. And on fmqb chart is says May TBD as to CHR add date, which suggests Jive might still send it to Pop in a couple of weeks.
LLWD has shown it's stupid to write Kris off too quickly. LLWD got TEN AC adds, plus a AAA Rock and a Christian AC add today -- after being out more than 7 months.
I think this single will do really well on Hot AC. Th question is whether it does anything on Pop. But I'm not writing it off until it's shown Top 40 stations won't add it no matter how well it does on Hot AC

I like this song but most people here think it'll fail. I could easily see it going Top 10 on HAC. Pop is a whole other thing though. I'm just not sure how much promo Jive is going to pump into this.
Jive has to be losing $ with Allison and not making all that much with Kris. Not a good Idol season for them.
