The Dixie Chicks picked a fight with their own fans. Kelly would never make that mistake. Well The words that the lead singer said, were just simple words, expressing her feelings about a War that was going on... Well the same thing could happen to kelly... Lets say Obama called Kesha a Dirty little Slut... Even dough he is right, kelly is going to jump up and write a block, about how disrespectful he is.. Then Obama is going to do anything to do in his power to break her and he will succeed.. Note for you Kelly: Don't ever go talking negative about a politician or else ya done.... Note for you, Cleopatra: In the US, we can trash our politicians all we want to. It's called Free Speech. This is Kelly's career and she's welcome to trash anyone she wants to for whatever she believes in, Obama or Clive or her fans.

You seriously didn't compare the DCX writing to Kelly's. Nobody in mainstream music writes songs like them. You need reading comprehension lessons. I didn't compare Kelly to the Dixie Chicks nor did I compare her writing to the Dixie Chicks. I was responding to someone else who said she would end up like them and I was pointing out how that wouldn't be such a bad thing... In other words, I was praising the Dixie Chicks.

You said "winning awards for their songwriting" which implies a comparison between the two. Nice try with the shade though. Probably would've been more effective if you weren't, you know, a nobody.

I was referring to the Dixie Chicks winning awards for THEIR song writing! I wasn't aware that the use of pronouns was so shady! Oh wow, someone called me a nobody on a message board! Get a life, we're all nobodies or we wouldn't be on here responding to each other.

I've heard rumblings that some of the songs have leaked in full. . . is this true? (You would think that RCA has the legal power to stop iLeaks from selling them).
Also, I don't think all of these songs were written by Kelly.
Almost all of those snippets sound fantastic to me; my favorites are Standing In Front of You, Don't Ever Give Up On Me, Lost, Who's That Girl, and Ready to Go. Her voice sounds better than ever; I love the raspy, powerful, and emotionally drenched vocals that come through on SIFOY, DEGUOM, and Lost. She really does continue to get better and better. And most of the lyrics either make me want to cry or laugh out loud (such as "I know I break your heart with everything I'm not" and "How is it my fault I look this good and get away with it?")
This is going to be a great album.

With the exception of one place, yes they have vanished. Since everyone has began to give their two cents on which genre Kelly should stay with or move to I will give my opinion. I agree with whoever has mentioned for her to stick to pop. I love her pop music. It's spectacular when she works with the right people and the lyrics are relatable. I love records like All I Ever Wanted...songs for everybody. A different flavor of the same genre throughout. It was all POP but either had dance, rock, country, and 80s sounds to it.

I'M NOT READY TO MAKE NICE, NOT READY TO SHUT MY MOUTH..... Yeah she needs to stick on pop, cause the country fans will eat her up if she opens her mouth.....

With the exception of one place, yes they have vanished. Well, I'm glad I downloaded most of the ones I liked, and hope we get most of the originals in finished form at a later date. (I have not downloaded any of the recent leaks, but I don't feel as guilty about the preshows; while they weren't supposed to be recorded, they were still songs performed publicly for a paying audience, as opposed to unfinished private demos). Overall, the combination of the preshow songs, the more recent leaks, and things we've heard Kelly talk about suggest to me that she's in a really prolific period as a songwriter. I hope nothing gets in the way of getting all of that into commercially available songs.

Dance has fully leaked. It has a couple of tags but it sounds pretty good...I'd love to hear it's finished version someday. She needs to work on the screaming/yelling thing; I love how she does it in IICHY.

The leaked version is very rough, but I love the verses. I don't really like the pauses, but the song is obviously unfinished. IMO, it has potential.

I'm so far behind now on hearing the leaks. Grrr, just get the album out already.
Much as I love the pop-rock sound of the last three albums and especially the more rock stuff on My December, an 80s-sounding album would be great. Almost enough to take me back to my youth.

I really am not feeling Dance. First of the leaks I wouldn't want to see on her album.

I really like Dance! But I love 80's influenced songs. Are those screams an homage to Michael Jackson? It makes me wanna dance!
