The gap between this and Airplanes just got 79 spins smaller... I don't think she'll make it :( what do u guys think? Also, down to #8 on iTunes cuz of f**king Billionaire, Miss Me, and Rock That Body :'( It's already selling better digitally than Telephone, which made it into the Top 10 during the very end of it's run on the chart (thanks to the music video). I'm sure that once the video is released it will climb again And in terms of Airplanes, it just goes to show you the CRAP (including Ke$ha, sorry...but it's true) that people prefer over genuinely good pop music.

The bullets for Airplanes and Cali Gurls went down to more reasonable levels, this just needs another surge to have a chance imo, which hopefully the video will bring.

I'm sure that once the video is released it will climb again I am agree with you but remember Telephone didn´t have a performance before the video release and Alejandro got the American Idol performamce. That is why Alejandro has been on the top 10 on itunes for a while.

Yes, your correct, but it was already almost Top 10. I'm sure once the video comes it'll move up a spot or two, but right now competition is FIERCE :o

VIDEO LEAK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
will be Monday June 7th, but not sure what time and where. On Larry King Live, she said the full video will be out in a "couple days"...not sure what world she lives in but a couple of days is not 6 days!

I thought the "couple of days" things was said by Larry. I don't think she said that. She wasn't specific with her answer. I may be mistaken. I would have to see the interview again, but I remember clearly noticing that.

Gaga is so amazing to her fans. Just read on twitter that security was stopping fans from entering MEN Arena with cans in their hair. Gaga made it so security would let people inside with their cans. She's the best, never heard of another artist doing more for their fans.

" Lady Gaga's "The Fame" flies up six positions to No. 6 with 31,000 and an 11% increase -- a gain no doubt fueled by the artist's music being featured prominently in last week's episode of Fox TV's "Glee." - Billboard

In 2000 31,000 would've probably been #35 or something. And in 2000 The Fame probably would've been 8x platinum by now, and The Fame Monster (EP) probably around 3-4x platinum. *sigh*

I really liked the video snippet we got from LK.
I love the sound mixing. I haven't really been into the song too much this time around. I feel all of her past singles have been stronger musically and production wise but I think the remixing for the video could make me like the song more. The building sounds kind of epic. The Ale-jandro Ale-jandro portion of the clip combined with the stomps and what not makes it seem stronger and more dance-oriented.
I think the video is going to be great. Can't wait for it. I didn't like the Telephone video as much as her others.

But even if she did do that. Im damn sure it will make christina's NMT video seem like a special ED class.

True, but album sales are much more satisfying IMO. Plus, singles don't have the same selling potential as an album did back in 99-01 where several albums had 1 million opening weeks and hit diamond certification. Plus album sales is what kept the music business profitable. Now a days you have artists being dropped like flies, labels folding, less availability of physical units, artists technically making mininum wage off albums sales, and labels only putting their stock into a select few artists which makes for monotony at radio, tv, etc;

Now a days you have artists being dropped like flies, labels folding, less availability of physical units, artists technically making mininum wage off albums sales, and labels only putting their stock into a select few artists which makes for monotony at radio, tv, etc; I agree with this statement mostly except for the fact that I see more of a transition into a pop world where every artist has clothing lines, perfumes, and other special deals like that. Miley's album sales are impressive, but holding them against other pop stars 10+ years ago they aren't that impressive. However, she has probably made MORE money than them all because of her insanely lucrative deals she has going on everywhere. I mean, Miley has made an unfathomable amount of money just with her deal with Wal-Mart where she will probably continue to get checks for the next 10 years. I honestly remember when it was not common for artists to have a ton of perfumes, clothing lines, and endorsements-now it is the norm. I honestly cannot think of a single one who DOESN'T have all of that going on. Touring, merch, and endorsements/advertisements are making up the revenue lost in album sales. Gaga is doing just fine making profits with not just unbelievable single sales, but also 10 million plus albums sold, a hugely popular tour, and then not to mention the harder to quantify endorsements, ads, deals, and merch where I am sure she is doing just fine as well. It is a changing musical climate and it will be interesting to see what happens in the future. In some ways, the music business is suffering-but, it is adapting (for example, taking cuts or bigger cuts out of touring money/other monies that typically almost all went to the artist).
