Yay was waiting for this to come, I do think that her and Laura Bell Bundy are kinda similar sounding though I wonder if they'll kill eachothers careers?

I'm honestly excited about her new music. I enjoyed her first album but in a lot of ways you could tell it was a rush job. She was recording between seasons of Dancing with the Stars. This album she wrote a lot and took the time to work on it more then the first. She actually posted a video snippet today about the new album. Hoping this would be the right place to put it. She talks about working with Dann Huff, writing with Blair and Sarah Buxton. www.youtube.com/watch?v=lgUB9BOShc0

Her debut was utterly TERRIBLE, so I hope this is miles better, but I honestly don't see her having a career in music.

Gawd, why?? She should've just consider her last album an experiment and never touched music again.

This is wonderful! I think Julianne has a wonderful singing voice with a great, warm tone to it, and if she can just get a hold on the right material, she could be a very decent artist.

I'm kinda gettin' interested on this new album. Sound more promising that her debut.

My least favorite of the possible single choices I heard. The repetitiveness of the lyrics in the verses ruins the song for me ("I been thinkin' about, thinkin' about, thinkin' about"; "I been holdin' it in, holdin' it in, holdin' it in").
I realize that's becoming a trend lately, but it reminds me of my first thought when a song has lots of la-la's or baby-baby's in it: They just couldn't think of anything to write and didn't want to put the effort in. Still I think it's light-years ahead of her debut.

Wow, surprisingly the song on that video sounds great. I'm kinda gettin' interested on this new album. Sound more promising that her debut. The song on that video is a Sarah Buxton/Blair Daly co-write called "A Woman Like That." You can see Sarah performing it here and here (and elsewhere on YouTube). I'm surprised that wasn't sent out as the lead single. As a song I like it a good deal more than anything on the Rate the Music test for Julianne. I don't remember caring too much for this song on first listen, but I also don't remember the song well enough to explain why.

Ugh. Why would she go with this? The others tracks included in the Rate The Music survey, were considerably stronger. And, this is just weak and forgettable.
I kinda love this now. Still, Wildfire >>>>>

NASHVILLE.COM – Julianne Hough Single Review Julianne Hough Shows Nashville an Edgier Side to Her Music with New Single—“Is That So Wrong”
Singer/dancer Julianne Hough reveals a more mature side to her music with the release today of her new single, “Is That So Wrong,” the first offering from her upcoming second album. Co-written by Julianne, Blair Day and Nashville treasure Sarah Buxton, the tune shows an edgier, more complex side to Julianne and her music. And, while she loved her first CD, Julianne admits that this one is definitely more “her” than her previous effort. “To me it just feels way more me,” she explains. “The whole record has this rush, this energy, but it’s still kind of moody. It’s me, to a T. I think there’s a lot more depth to this record.” Julianne, who split with boyfriend Chuck Wicks several months ago, admits that the breakup and charting of a new course afterwards helped inspire the new single. If that’s the case, she should try to break up more often.—David Scarlett

I don't mind this at all. It's not exceptionally original, but I think Julianne sounds good here. If this is the weakest out of the tracks she had to offer, I'm interesting in hearing the album. I did like her debut CD, though I was expecting more from it.

I really like this! I think this should be a hit! I like it even better that I see Sarah Buxton co-wrote with Julliane on this!

^ Nice review.
I actually enjoyed her debut. It was definitely a bit hit-and-miss, but it yielded a few great tracks (namely, 'That Song In My Head', 'Hello', 'My Hallelujah Song' and 'Hide Your Matches').

I didn't like any of her debut album's singles, but she looks gorgeous in that picture in the first post at least :) I wish I looked like that!! lol.
Anyway, I just listened to it, and I really really like it! Good lyrics, just a bit repetitious though. Like a lot of songs out now, this is a good song, but it could've been great if there wasn't so much overproduction. I'm straining to hear her nice voice at times...
Julianne has been on hiatus for quite a while, and country radio seems more crowded than ever. I think this is her best effort yet, but I'm not sure how it will do...I'll hope for top 20, but that could be really optimistic...

Didn't really feel this one after hearing her open the 2nd night at LP Field @ the CMA Fest, it sounded like she didn't know it too well, I guess she just needs to get used to performing it live, cause everything else sounded ok (well at least better than this song did)

Her debut was utterly TERRIBLE, so I hope this is miles better, but I honestly don't see her having a career in music. i agree! what a terrible mess that was! i'm not in love with the new single, but it has the potiental to grow on me I think. I did like the sound of the other songs featured in that preview clip though, so hopefully that means the album will have some gems.

From all the songs I've heard/known about, this seems to be the worse... Not really bad, but the others sound way better. I can't wait to hear her full takes of Sarah Buxton's "Love Is A Trip" and Hillary Lindsey's "That's What The Nigt Is For"... Looks like Julianne is putting a decent album around this time.
