I know there are a few Sia fans here. Anyone else looking forward to this album? From the songs we've heard so far it's sounds like it's gonna be AWESOME. Tracklisting
1. "The Fight" 2. "Clap Your Hands" 3. "Stop Trying" 4. "You've Changed" 5. "Be Good to Me" 6. "Bring Night" 7. "Hurting Me Now" 8. "Never Gonna Leave Me" 9. "Cloud" 10. "I'm in Here" 11. "The Co-Dependent" 12. "Big Girl, Little Girl" 13. "Oh Father" (Madonna Cover)
BONUS TRACKS: "Hold Me Down" and 'I'm in Here (Piano/vocal version)
For anyone that hasn't heard the new singles yet, here are the music videos: What does everyone think? Do you like the new style she's going for? Personally, I think it's a significant change for her, which still retains her quirkiness. I can't wait for the album!! I really love the change. I love Clap Your Hands. I've only heard that and You've Changed so far to save as much new stuff for the album.
I was thinking of starting a new thread for her too.

I'm loving the new sound too. I've read some comments on YouTube saying she's 'selling out', but that couldn't be farther from the truth. Now that she's decided to keep a low profile, not tour/promote as much, she's in a happy place right now. The new sound is just a reflection of that.
Plus, there is still some classic Sia on the album. 'I'm in Here' sounds like something that could have been on 'Colour the Small One'.
I wanted to save the rest of the songs until the release too, 'cause 6 songs in advance is a lot, like half the album. But, I couldn't help myself. It's just made me even more excited for the album, they're all strong tracks.

Clap Your Hands video is so cool and funny. That's the only song I listened to so far. Why do people worry about her selling out? I love it so far, can't wait for the new album.

I should check out the singles. I do have her last album but nothing really jumped out at me aside from a few tracks which I have in some of my playlists on my iPod so they're nice when they come on but never really anything I anticipate.

Gave the album a listen. Not sure how I feel about it. I feel underwhelmed by most of the songs honestly. Maybe it'll grow on me. Cloud, Oh Father, You've Changed, and Clap Your Hands are the stand outs for me so far.

I'm loving the album! I think 'Oh Father' is actually one of the strongest tracks, and a great way to close the album. Sia has always excelled at covers. Who thought Sia could take a Madonna track and improve on it? She brings more of a soulful edge to the song and I think it's beautiful.
Overall, I think it's a very solid album and still very much 'Sia'.

Yep, I am liking the album much more on second listen. I agree, this album still seems like Sia, just a different, more upbeat side of her.

Ugh, I just read a terrible review for the album. I have a feeling the critics are gonna hate on this album big time. I still stand by my opinion that it's a solid album!
EDIT: Scratch that. It's getting great reviews! Some calling it the best Pop album of the year.

No, "Some People Have Real Problems" peaked at #26 so I was hoping this could atleast go top 30 too. :(
It's such a masterpiece, like her other previous three albums and her work with Zero 7.

^^^^isnt that the best shes EVER done in america before? i didnt really think working on that (horrible) christina album was gonna boost her celebrity anyway. albums good, thats all thats important! You're right. It's a f**king excellent album, obviously I was expecting her to better the sales of 'Some People Have REAL Problems', but I'm not gonna too worked get up about the underwhelming sales. Obviously, I knew Xtina wouldn't help her that much, but I'm guessing the label were expecting more. I hope they still give it the sufficient promotion. No, "Some People Have Real Problems" peaked at #26 so I was hoping this could atleast go top 30 too. :( It's such a masterpiece, like her other previous three albums and her work with Zero 7. I was hoping for a top 20 and at least 15k. Oh well, it's a masterpiece, as are all her albums. I've been overwhelmed by some of the rave reviews I've read. She really is a favorite with the critics, and it's not surprising. This album is INCREDIBLE. Long live Siallah. Seriously, not one bad song. GREAT job switching genres! Agreed. Not a single filler track. She really excelled herself with this album. I'm just so in awe of her talent as a songwriter and emoter and so proud to be a Sia stan. The album's just so amazing. Easily one of my faves of the year (Along with Janelle Monae's debut) Praise SIALLAH for blessing us with her grace. :shakingandcrying:

Did Sia have any promo in the US for this album? I know she performed on Letterman for Some People Have Real Problems.

Did Sia have any promo in the US for this album? I know she performed on Letterman for Some People Have Real Problems. I'm not sure, not too much anyways. She toured the US earlier this year, did a few festivals and is doing Lilith Fair. But she's been going through some illnesses right now, like depression and stuff since she was outed by Perez Hilton. So I think she's canceled a lot of promo. I think she was gonna do Jimmy Kimmel, but that got canceled, or postponed, I don't know. She's said she's not gonna do a lot of promo after this album, and might just become a songwriter instead of making her own albums (*prays that never happens*) But there was a big front page ad on itunes, and 'You've Changed' was played in 'The Vampire Diaries'. Personally, I think she's done well sustaining the fanbase she made in the US from Six Feet Under

Here's a new (I think it's new) Fred Falke remix of Zero 7 - Destiny featuring Sia on the vocals. I love it.

Aw, that's too bad. I hope she gets better. What happened with Perez? Did he just not like her new album? It was streaming in full on his site, so I'm sure he likes it. But the jerk is on a gay witch-hunt and likes to out people/force them to come out of the closet. He exposed her for being in a relationship with a woman and ever since, she's said she's been having panic attacks and stuff. Poor girl :( Here's what she said, in an interview with The Times:

Is this Time interview new? That's surprising. Her new album is such a quirky, happy album, perfect for the summer.
