"Alone" definitely needs to be a single. Aside from that and ALBS, "My Heart Can't Tell You No" is probably one of my favorites from the album. I actually like it more than this song. She does need a happy song in there somewhere, so "Anywhere" seems like a good 2nd single. Then she should do "Alone" 3rd and either "My Heart Can't Tell You No" or "What That Drink Cost Me" 4th. If they go 5 singles in, then release the other one.

"Anywhere" is the rumored second single and I think it's a great choice because, to me, the album is solid with the ballads. So throwing an up-tempo in there somewhere is key for variety.
Also, did anyone see her performance of 'Stand By Your Man' on the Girls' Night Out tour?!? She was AMAZING! Easily one of my favorite performances of hers.

^ Yes!!! Her performance was easily the highlight of the entire night. She slayed that song. I would really love in the future for her to do a covers album w/ songs like that. <3

Her performance was easily the highlight of the entire night. For you. Many others would probably say that Carrie's performance of "How Great Thou Art" was the highlight. Sara did sound really great, though.

Sara did sound really great, though. Yes, that is my opinion, hence why I said it. I still think Sara's was a lot more enjoyable than Carrie's song. I still love Carrie though.

Anywhere would be the perfect next single. It completely suits the upcoming summer season.
I'm hoping Life Without Losing gets released somewhere down the line

This is going to be number 1 next week on Billboard if things keep going the way they are. Comeback solidified. Hoping single #2 is "Anywhere" because it can get her back to the top. Congrats.

Glad this is gonna be #1 soon. I really love this song, even though it took quite a while to grow on me. Now the single and album version has about 140 combined plays in my collection. And, yes, I've been going through several personal tough times these past few months. Incredibly happy for Mrs. Evans' recent success/comeback. She's truly amazing at her art; can't wait to see what else is next for her. (p.s. diggin' her new album too ) Anyone know how long this could stay on top or, in the case of a very short stay @ #1, how fast it'll fall once it starts to fall?

It seems like Sara will get just one week at #1, with Miranda maybe having a better chance at 2 weeks there, though that's not guaranteed.
Interestingly enough, we could have a split #1 this week, as Miranda still has a 75 point lead on MB. Sara had a 700k lead on Monday's BB chart and has widened the gap slightly this week, so it looks like she'll come home with the BB #1. But Miranda might get to #1 on MB a week earlier than she will on BB unless Sara can edge ahead by the end of the weekend.
I do think ALBS will fall moderately fast, simply because it's been on high rotation for many weeks on several stations. It's got its age working against it, and there's strong competition behind, too. Plus, I'm sure the label will roll out the 2nd single pretty quickly--it's likely to be "Anywhere" too, as that was Tony Thomas' test track on KMPS Seattle this past week.

Sara is CC Co-Host at 7-8 May and Miranda 14-15 May. I think Sara is 1-2 weeks Nr. 1.

I saw it at #1 on Real Time Tracker yesterday. P.S.: Still tracking at #1 at 11:20 a.m. (my time) Country No. 1-Sara Evans-A Little Bit Stronger +4053 Sugarland-Tonight

SARA EVANS REACHES THE TOP OF THE CHARTS THIS WEEK WITH HER HIT SINGLE “A LITTLE BIT STRONGER” Evans is the first female artist in 2011 to hold the No. 1 spot on both country radio charts Nashville, TN – Multi-platinum recording artist Sara Evans celebrates the fifth No. 1 single of her career this week. “A Little Bit Stronger” holds the No. 1 position on both the Billboard and Country Aircheck charts. “I am so humbled and overwhelmed that ‘A Little Bit Stronger’ made it to No. 1,” says Sara. “This song has had the biggest emotional response of any other single I’ve ever released. I think it is because almost everyone has gone through a difficult time in their life and most people can relate to the line in the song ‘even on my weakest days, I get a little bit stronger.’” “To have everything happen the way it has makes me feel like I’m on top of the world,” reflects Sara. “This is my dream and the passion and desire has never gone away; it was just put on hold for a little while. I feel very thankful and grateful to so many people right now: country radio, my fans and the music industry.” “A Little Bit Stronger,” which has been certified Gold by the RIAA, was written by Hillary Scott, Luke Laird and Hillary Lindsey. The RCA promotion staff was in Key West, FL, with Sara Evans over the weekend when they received the news that “A Little Bit Stronger” hit the top of the charts and that Sara is the first female artist to reach No. 1 this year on both charts. I'm very happy to see Sara at #1. I had been hopeful that she could do it, but to be honest I didn't really expect this result when she first released the single. I didn't even expect top 10 to be honest - I figured it would have a run like "Last Call". This is quite an accomplishment for Sara.

I wanted to add another "congrats" post.
I'm beyond thrilled that this has hit #1 on BOTH charts. I have loved her since "The Cryin Game"..... how many years ago? I don't think she's recorded one bad song on any of her albums.
As a huge, long time fan, it's fun to see the journey she's gone through to get here. I can NOT wait to see what the next single is and how well it charts. Actually, I'm just ready for this era to be over and to be able to say she had 4 top 5 hits. Now THAT would be an awesome come back!!

I'm delighted as well; she's always been among the format's very best singers going back to her 1997 CD 'Three Chords And The Truth', and her current CD is flat-out wonderful.
Awesome!

I'm delighted as well; she's always been among the format's very best singers going back to her 1997 CD 'Three Chords And The Truth', and her current CD is flat-out wonderful. Awesome! I'll respectfully disagree with the claim her latest CD is "flat-out wonderful", as I find a bulk of the material overproduced and under-inspired. She couldn't have chosen a better lead single, as it is emotionally heartfelt and accessible..............but much the rest of "Stronger" lacks depth, in my opinion, in spite of all Evans has gone through over the last half a decade. There are moments here and there as with "Alone" and "What That Drink Cost Me", but it largely just makes the same kinds of mistakes Martina McBride's last couple of records made, for instance, with the "Hang in there!" poster pseudo-positivity and tepid production. Besides that, I agree Sara Evans is a standout vocalist and she is deserving of this remarkable comeback, especially off a strong single. * Which saddens me, all the same, in that efforts from fellow contemporaries like Terri Clark's "The Long Way Home" were much better from a lyrical/content standpoint, and yet was practically ignored outside of Canada. Namaste, Lisping Hibiscus

I couldn't agree with you more Lisping. Something about this CD just lacks strong material except for the lead single, and I agree they couldn't have picked a better one.
I really do like Sara and she was great both times I saw her in concert, but as far as "standout". I'm not really sure that my opinion would stretch that far. Sure glad she is back, but just wish with better material.

So happy this went #1! This song deserved it so much!!! Glad to see her make an "official" comeback and she sure as hell is welcome! We need all the female power we can get to take down the men who have ruled the genre since the beginning of time! LMAO! Now there are FIVE leading ladies of Country all things considered; Miranda, Taylor, Carrie, Reba, and Sara... The clear nominees for Female Vocalist this year, might I add. I'm just so excited for her, and I'm glad she came across this song. It's gorgeous!

I also agree that the album is far from spectacular. It's good, but nothing really blows me away. The best song is easily "A Little Bit Stronger". However, I do enjoy "My Heart Can't Tell You No" and "What That Drink Cost Me" quite well. "Anywhere" is likely to be the next single, and while I do think it'll be a decent-sized hit, it doesn't have near the lyrical depth that I'd like it to have--thematically, it's similar to Jo Dee Messina's "Heads Carolina, Tails California" but that song has much stronger lyrics and is just...better.
I am glad Sara is back though. I really like her a lot, so I will hope that this album will get her a few hits and if she stays around, maybe the next one will be even better.

I don't think "Alone" will be next...I'm pretty sure it's "Anywhere", since Tony Thomas had it up as his test track on KMPS last week. I think Sara said she wanted "Alone" to be the 3rd single, and since they didn't include "Feels Just Like A Love Song" on the album, that has me guessing that it will be "Anywhere" next, and then maybe "Alone" if they stick to the plan. Personally, I'd much rather see either "My Heart Can't Tell You No" or "What That Drink Cost Me" in place of "Alone", however..
