The original plan was to have Nathan Chapman produce the entire album. But then she switched management teams as well as brought in some new producers.
One thing that I love about Sara is her ability to evolve in the market. Everybody remember Three Chords & The Truth / No Place That Far? Didn't garner too much radio success. Then she changed her sound and released Born To Fly and BAM!!!
Looks like with this album, she will change once again. "A Little Bit Stronger" is probably the best, vocally, that Sara's ever recorded. All of her techniques and vibrato are right on the money!

I'm hoping her album is similar to the style of music she made w/ Real Fine Place, although all of her albums are masterpieces, which proves that she can handle all sorts of country music styles with excellence.
I'm under that impression that Sara is also co-producing the album, correct?

I agree with the others and the cover art is drop dead gorgeous. As far as the song goes, I just love it. The melody is so beautiful and the lyrics are perfect for anybody who has or is going through a breakup or even dealing with friend problems. I think this song has the potential of getting Sara back onto the radio and giving her great success. It's about time.

I have always loved Sara. Ever since the beginning with "Three Chords And The Truth". Amazing album.
I am more than excited for new material from her. I really hope country radio brings her back with arms wide open.

Wow, finally heard the full version of this. I'm impressed. This sounds great and it's very moving. She sounds better than ever. I love Sara and I am really anxious for a full new studio album. It's been way too long. I hope we get one soon. I can't wait to see how this fares at radio.

So I was listening to a couple of her CD's today and rediscovered some amazing tracks. What does everyone think of these?
Born To Fly - Four Thirty, You Don't, Every Little Kiss, Why Should I Care Restless - Niagara, Need To Be Next To You, Tonight, Otis Redding, I Give In, Big Cry

Born To Fly - Four Thirty, You Don't, Every Little Kiss, Why Should I Care Restless - Niagara, Need To Be Next To You, Tonight, Otis Redding, I Give In, Big Cry I remember "Why Should I Care" was supposed to be the fifth single from BTF, but RCA changed their minds in order to promote "BOAGB" from Restless. LOVE LOVE LOVE that song as well as the others above.

"You Don't" should've been a single, probably my favorite song on the album.

"You Don't" should've been a single, probably my favorite song on the album. I have to agree. She sings that song with so much emotion and conviction, you can just hear her saying "I told you so".

Am I the only one that thinks that cover is nothing special??? No, I agree. She looks great, but it's just a normal picture to me. I don't care much about single covers, it's the album cover that matters. LOVE the song though.

It's a perfect wedding song and baffling why it wasn't a single. Great lyrics, great melody, great vocals, great production.

I agree about the single cover opinions above. I always hate when label execs (or whomever) do an album/single cover that doesn't match the album/single. For instance, they probably should've went with a picture of Sara not smiling. She looks happy as HELL on a single cover titled, "A Little Bit Stronger". Lol. I've been drinking the "Niagara" kool-aid since that album dropped. It's a perfect wedding song and baffling why it wasn't a single. Great lyrics, great melody, great vocals, great production. I remember Sara saying that it was a hard song to sing live, so that's probably why it was never released so she wouldn't have to. It does stretch one's range a little bit.

Perhaps that, and the fact that "Niagara" likely would've gone nowhere on the charts, no matter how good it may be (and it is). I think that its not too far removed from "Tonight," which was a flop.

MY favorite of those is Need to Be Next To You same message as everybody else conveyed in such a cool way Check out Leigh Nash's version of this song which was recorded for the "Bounce" soundtrack and was a minor AC hit. Between this and "I Could Not Ask For More," Sara certainly got to put her stamp on two lovely Diane Warren ballads.

And after all this time. I do have to agree, this song is perfect in every way possible. Yeah, I bet this WOULD be hard to sing live. She sings this song like there's no tomorrow. The notes she hits are amazing and how long she holds them is impressive.

I thought that "Niagara" was scheduled to be a single at one point, but then it was pulled for something else. I want to say it was originally titled "Niagara Falls" and was said to be the lead single. I could be completely wrong, though.
I'm still loving "A Little Bit Stronger". It's still not doing much radio wise, but the adds date isn't for over two weeks. Hopefully it will begin to chart around that time.

I want to say it was originally titled "Niagara Falls" and was said to be the lead single. I could be completely wrong, though. I don't think it was ever going to be called "Niagara Falls;" since the hook is 'like asking niagara not to fall.' It doesn't directly put the two together. And I don't think it was to be the first single either... someone else said "Why Should I Care" was going to be single #5 from Born to Fly but they decided to move on to "Backseat of a Greyhound Bus." I'm still loving "A Little Bit Stronger". It's still not doing much radio wise, but the adds date isn't for over two weeks. Hopefully it will begin to chart around that time. I agree, I imagine that it will start making good progress soon.

I'm sure glad she went with "Suds in the Bucket" ... scary thought thinking that might not've happened, since she could've easily sunk w/ "Niagara," as "Suds in the Bucket" is essentially billed as the reason for the strong sales of Restless, and its one of her biggest hits to date.

I love "Niagara", but I'm glad she didn't take the risk... "Suds In The Bucket" was so huge for her.
Hard to believe that "Suds" wasn't released until the 3rd single from the album!

I am hoping this starts getting some play and moves nicely up the charts.
As for Niagra, I saw her in concert the year that album came out and she sang it live without any issues. I was upset that wasnt released (along with Otis Redding) because since she was so huge at that time, she could have released anything and it would have been a hit.
