It's difficult these days for Pop Stars to switch genres because without radio, You-tube, iTunes support, you're almost irrelevant, so I find a lot of artists usually will play it safe, in a way, to keep their momentum going. I think P!nk only 'plays it safe' in the sense that she stays within the pop umbrella and usually leans on the side of Rock, whether it's dance-rock, pop-rock, folk-pop, whatevahhh. And always polished. By the same token, P!nk always gives complete mixed-up albums, since "M!ssundaztood," but even more so since "Try This" and "I'm Not Dead."
I feel if anyone can do it, its P!nk, especially if its a good. Furthermore, P!nk is someone that has switched genres her whole career by releasing different types of songs; thus, if she were to release a one genre album, while it would be different and not as big of a risk since "M!ss," it would be taken by open arms of people that like it.

Maybe so but I think it was just as difficult now as is was back then. Before artist like P!nk/Britney/Christina would flip the game without even realizing it as a natural progression of themselves. I feel like we've lost that edge. Now everyone is focusing on their families and growing their brand where as ten years ago these girls were just trying to be heard. IDK maybe this is just something we have to deal with as artist's age and grow but man I miss when these girls would do whatever they wanted and delt with the consequences later. Maybe it's selfish as a fan because I don't havent to go through the battles that they went through but Id give anything for an era a la Stripped/In the Zone/Missundastood/My Decemeber.

I'm a regular P!nk fan but her last 3 albums all sound the same. She hasn't switched up anything since Missundaztood. That was the only time she made a statement but ever since then she has hardly made any changes in her music.

However, I would definitely agree that IND, Funhouse, and TTAL are very same-y

I skipped over Try This save for "God Is A DJ" and "Catch Me While I'm Sleeping" but my favorite album of hers is "I'm Not Dead". She hasn't released anything as good as that or even released any singles on par with "Who Knew".

I LOVE "Try This". But have to agree, "I'm Not Dead" is by far her best album. I always liked her before IND. But that album made me a real fan of hers.

The Truth About Love hit the catalog chart this week. The time has flown.
It's in its 82nd week on the BB 200, and it held position at No. 112- should it have appeared on the catalog chart last week, as it dipped below No. 100?

"M!ssundaztood" and "The Truth About Love" for me. Although, "Can't Take Me Home" made me a fan, and "Funhouse" was a real treat during a break-up of my own.
While "Try This" and "I'm Not Dead" have their highlights and some of my favorite songs, I find they have more filler sounding tracks.

Maybe it's because they are older and they feel like there is no room for mistakes. Look at Beyonce with 4. She tried to go against the grain with 4 and it flopped. When you're 19-20 years old you have a lot of time to experiment as an artist. Then again, I feel like the music industry as a whole as changed for the worst since 15-20 years ago. I mean, nowadays everyone is a singer not an artist. But I TOTALLY feel you.

My favorites probably are M!ssundaztood and I'm Not Dead. Favorite singles? "Don't Let Me Get Me," ""Just Like a Pill" and "Who Knew."

P!nk is flawless. My favorite single "Sober" but honestly, I just think she is badass and cool.

Ill never forgive her and the label for not releasing Slut like you after JGMAR. That had the potential to be a huge summer hit.

Ill never forgive her and the label for not releasing Slut like you after JGMAR. Was thrilled to see them ignore that god-awful track. It would have been, far and away, my least favorite Pink single ever, and I think the entire thing is embarrassingly bad an obnoxious.

While "All We All We Are" isn't my favorite song of hers, I thought that would have made for an anthemic single. I also though "How Come You're Not Here" would have been a fun choice.

'Slut Like You' is epic and definitely should have been a single.

It's All Your Fault remains the biggest missed opportunity in her career.

I don't see how that would have been successful on radio; decent song, but it sounds b-side-ish to me.
The only missed opt I've seen for P!nk was "18 Wheeler."
And possibly, "Heartbreaker" and "Long Way To Happy." "Timebomb" had such a killer chorus...it had a lot of potential.

I feel in such a small minority with Try This as my favorite.
Maybe it's because I rediscovered it when I turned the same age P!nk was when she wrote and recorded it, but "Catch Me While I'm Sleeping" is the only track I skip. IMHO, "Waiting for Love" is one of the best, most innovative songs in her discography. Try Too Hard, Humble Neighborhood, Save My LIfe, Walk Away, and Love Song are also perfection. And I squee every time I hear Trouble this day; it happened involuntarily when my sister and I showed my parents The Truth About Love Tour DVD.

She has a few missed opportunities, but no one can say things haven't worked out.

2014's World's Most Beautiful ListPINK This CoverGirl, 34, has never been one to follow conventional beauty "rules" – and that's just fine. "Beautiful has never been my goal," she told Redbook. "Joy is my goal – to feel healthy and strong and powerful and useful and engaged and intelligent and in love. It's about joy. And there's such joy now."

Does anyone know if there is an explicit version of "Get The Party Started" Remix with Redman?

"City and Colour" aka 'Dallas Green' covered "Try". He changed it a bit and I think it's quite a nice rendition. (they were seen together not that long ago at a music studio...Id be forever in love if they worked together)

Truth About Love is a close second. There's something about Try This that makes me happy. I didn't like it a lot when it first came out - I was annoyed it strayed so far from Missundaztood - but when I came back to it I discovered what a gem it actually was. So many favorites are on that album. Favorites are Waiting For Love, Humble Neighborhood, God is a DJ, and Last to Know.
