Now this was a category I didn't see during the awards show. And I'm also surprised that Billboard didn't pick some lame dance-pop song like "Club Can't Handle Me" or some other garbage to represent "dance" music, like the Grammys do.

I did find it odd why they didn't even show a little snippet at least of showing "Stereo love" the winner in that category similar to how they showed Shakira & Enrique Iglesias winning the latin categories. If they didn't have time to fit in "Stereo love" on TV (should be no excuse since it was 3 hours long), then at least the award show could've cut out Britney Spears horrible performance in that 30 second performance she did with Nicki Minaj.

They'll get more viewers with Britney in a 30-second performance than a European "dance song" that peaked at #16 on the Hot 100.

Isn't it based on airplay and sales by format? Stereo Love absolutely destroyed every other song on the year-end Dance Airplay chart (nearly twice as many spins as the #2 song), so this comes as no surprise. Great to see it getting some U.S. award recognition though!

Although "Stereo love" wasn't a top 10, it also outlasted some of the other songs of other genres that did make the top 10 on American top 40 like Rihanna's "Whats my name", Black Eyed Peas "Dirty bit" and others as well as the CHR/POP mediabase chart. "Stereo love' had a nice longetivity.
