Honestly, if I was a musician going on tour, I'd probably pay more attention to my own preferences rather than include fan favorites, too. I mean, she's the one who has to sing these songs over and over and over again for months at a time, and odds are that most fans will pay to see her in concert no matter the setlist. I agree. And as can be seen from the various opinions here, fans have different favorites and she won't be able to please everyone anyway. That being said, I'd like to put forth my preferences also ;) : I miss seeing HGTA on the setlist. That's always a goosebumps, spine-tingling moment. I could do without Remind Me, Thank God for Hometowns and even Leave Love Alone. I'm not as big a fan of See You Again so I'm fine without it. I'm with those who would have wanted to see Wine After Whiskey and Good in Goodbye. On the yay side, glad to see I Know You Won't in there.

^ Undo It could have been cut from the set list without any impact at all and one of the BA tracks left out put in it's stead.I doubt many would have missed it.Not really sure why she included it. I do like that she's giving JAD & SS a rest and GOOTT & CD another spin around the dance floor. "Undo It" is far from my fave song from Carrie too, but I went to her Hollywood Bowl concert and UI was sooo much fun live and was a HUGE hit with the audience. Pretty sure it's gonna be part of all future concert tour setlists. Plus, even Carrie acknowledges that it was her last hit from the Play On era. I soooo want to go to one of the concerts this era, but time and circumstances prevent me from traveling all the way from Asia again just to watch. You North American fans are so lucky. We, international fans... not so much. I really, really hope Carrie considers doing an Asian stop one time.

As I said, I think the produciton excellently captures the dark, stormy feel, from the pizzicato strings to the strings to the processing on the backing vocals in the first chorus. I gave this song 5 stars just for the production, but the lyrics can't be overlooked either. The writers said a lot without using a lot of words. I completely agree. For instance, the protagonist's use of "mean old mister" and "angel in the ground" to describe the father and mother, respectively, already paints such a vivid picture of what this girl has gone through in her life starting from childhood. Then the sinisterly-sung "sweet revenge" implies that she's already of an age where she realizes the consequence of leaving her father passed out on the couch. Oh, and the production. Don't get me started on the production. I have listened to this track over and over and over again because I'm so obsessed with the production. I kept discovering something new each time. I could write a whole paper on it. Even with that, I didn't even think of the kick-drum sounding like her "heart beating really fast" as co-writer Tompkins reveals in this article. And the different ways Carrie's voice is used... *gah*... like a siren, like the whistling of the wind in a tornado, like in a trance while contemplating being stuck in this hellish life and fantasizing about killing her abusive, possibly killer-father. Suffice to say, I find this song to be pretty damn cool and I'm ecstatic that it's moving so well to the top of the chart. Biggest AI gain again today (+1.067), with a considerable difference from the next biggest gainer, Easton (+0.632).

Down 715k on Mediabase today. This is done.
3 of the 5 biggest AI losers today had Clear Channel deals: ZBB (-0.715), Taylor (-0.342), and Big & Rich (-0.225). Meanwhile, Tim(+0.060) and Darius (+0.135) had minimal movement. Only Jason (+0.597) has maintained the momentum and clearly looks headed for #1.

Re: the CMA Songwriters Series-- That was a GREAT show! I love watching songwriters strut their stuff. I love acoustic concerts. And I love Carrie singing acoustically. So that show pressed all my pleasure buttons. "Temporary Home" was especially amazing. I know a lot of Carrie fans aren't really fans of that song, but I love it... and you can see Carrie's heart and soul when she sings that one.
Remember when Carrie went huge with her Play On tour? She said she was going for it and if that flopped, her next tour would be an acoustic one. Gotta say, that was the one and only time I kinda hoped Carrie would flop a little... just because I want an acoustic tour!

What is Blown Away (the album)'s total sales count after this week? It seems like sales have stabilized in the 12k-15k range for the time being, so hopefully as Blown Away (the single) builds, so does the album. It's probably in the 630k range, yeah? Hopefully it can reach Platinum by the end of the year. Carrie Underwood, Blown Away (13,000, -5%, 644,000) (#26 Billboard 200) Idol Chatter
