I'm seeing this queen tonight in the Chicago burbs and I'm hoping she does some Wrapped in Red tracks.

Does anyone have tea on who is repping them in the US, if they have any at all? Some of the stories I've been seeing about them reek of PR-pushed pieces.

I Don't Think About You is more Mr. Know It All than it is Piece By Piece and it shouldn't be a single. The only ballad that is a viable single is the title track.
I'm indifferent about Medicine vs. Heat, but think they're gonna need a hell of a plan to put either over on radio since the current climate is trash over class.

Happy December, y'all! Kelly continues to bless us this year with an abundance of musical gifts. Here's another! Singing an even higher note after "divine" was an ingenious choice. Who else but the Queen of Vocals Pop Christmas?

Anything like "Moments" or "Out Of Mind" on this? Stranger, Cycles, and Hey You Got Drugs? might fit that bill.

Brandon's shyness is adorable and she absolutely tore it apart in there.

Disagree with parts of the Praying opinions and agree with others, but would rather not get into it here. Some tea has been served in this article:

i think that if she would have killed the two albums and done one, this would have been in line with Robyns last album. I would have been extremely down with a spread out Body Talk-esque release, with each Chapter being its own EP, culminating in a final Lady Wood album that contains the best of each EP and maybe a new track or two

She doesn't seem to care about the charts so I don't think it matters. A true music not the bling icon

Much deserved nominations, and definitely snubbed for SOTY.
Also, the high note will never happen live and the high note is not about it being a high note.

You would think I would have learned after Heartbeat Song got nominated, but I really have to stop being surprised when she gets nominated for Grammys.
Industry Icon Kelly Clarkson.

They should rearrange as many of her old songs to fit her Meaning of Life band setup as possible, figure out which ones work best with the new sound, keep those and dump the rest.
I'm here for a black and gold soaked night of class, round stage in the middle of the floor (if it's arenas), and not a single synthesizer. I wouldn't mind a theater tour, but she should do what's best for her wallet. Quality Queens deserve coins.

I've spent more time with this, and while I originally thought the second half was a drag, I was completely wrong. The whole album is amazing, and PITCH BLACK is the most emotional work she's put out. 9th of October and Hey You Got Drugs are out of this world.
Stranger is like looking into the future of pop music (that rest at the end of the bridge breaking into the guitar riff holy shit) and Bitches is an anthem.

Going back to tour setlist talk, KellyClarksonArg posted the full audio of her Sirius setlist at the Gramercy Theater. The audio is really good quality, and I only listened to a handful of performances but she sounds great. Love the MI arrangement, and they found a good solve for "Medicine"'s low post-chorus, though I'm not sure what it is without video--is it just a mic effect, or pre-recorded? Here's the setlist: -My Life Would Suck Without You 00:23 -Catch My Breath 03:33 -Meaning of Life 07:42 -Medicine 12:59 -Didn't I 17:48 -Move You 23:28 -Breakaway 27:45 -Behind These Hazel Eyes 32:07 -Walk Away 36:41 -Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You) 41:42 -Miss Independent 45:10 -Since U Been Gone 50:20 -Love So Soft 55:33 -Heat 01:00:48 -Whole Lotta Woman 01:04:48 This was very MOL heavy, which makes sense for the event, but I hope all these new songs stay. I think she'll add anywhere from 4-8 songs given her history--and I imagine 2-3 of those slots could be covers (1-2 perma-covers, 1 fan request). I'd say some contenders for the remaining slots could be: -Because Of You -Never Again -Already Gone -Mr. Know It All -People Like Us -Heartbeat Song -Invincible -Piece By Piece -Would You Call That Love -I Don't Think About You ...she's gonna need some medleys. She sounds flawless, but this queen needs to add future single Would You Call That Love to her set lists because I will NOT be here for early, sleepwalking performances where she's still feeling out where she can go wild during it.

This should be something I hate, but I don't, because BTS is something the US music industry desperately needs right now. A loud, high-energy boy band that slays choreo and releases bops and has an insane stan base that threatens Rachel Platten on Instagram. Let's go nuts.
Their label should absolutely sign a deal with a US label/distributor though, especially for radio help.
2NE1 should have broken through, and CL's western debut is in a ditch, so I'll take this.

I can't decide if her on-point diva look and production value make another performance of LSS--one of her best, and the best overall performance yet--a better scenario than her performing MOL in such fine vocal form on a night where that was sorely lacking, but whatever: she looked and sounded amazing for her solo performance. Did not love the styling for her red carpet and duet (especially in comparison to what we got later), but she and Pink sounded marvelous together and I hope this inspires a proper collaboration. As soon as I saw the press that they were performing a tribute to first responders, my expectations shifted pretty dramatically, so I enjoyed the performance, even if it wasn't what I was looking for from the moment. That duet song choice was terrible. It's a good song, but for two big-voiced pop stars, it's way too subdued and melodically flat. I'm surprised they didn't go with I'll Stand By You or one of the dozens of other stereotypical tragedy ballads, so they had more room to work with vocally.

I would not mind her serving more of that uncharacteristic divaness to her performances and bringing that entourage of dancers with her everywhere from now on. All she was missing was a shrug-off for that cape. I'm still shook by how flaw-free this performance was.
She did some brassy versions of songs on the All I Ever Wanted Tour, but these new arrangements of her classic stuff are on another level. This tour is going to end me.

Email to her mailing list confirms she's doing "Love So Soft" as her solo performance. Time for her to go for the note then.

So when is this coming out? What kind of music will it be? We might expect a decent sized hit from it perhaps? I'm hanging out with him again tonight so I'm gonna squeeze him for more info.

A friend of mine saw a tasty test screening of A Star Is Born and said that the music is amazing and Gaga's performance is about uneven in the early parts but she is great later in the movie. Oooh! Is the score all Gaga? I think she did all of the original songs for the movie, but not the score. He also said it was one of, if not THE, best soundtrack he's ever heard in a movie. And he is one of those people that goes to the movies every weekend.

This lacks wow moments but it is a quick, fun little fever dream of an album. I'm ready for some videos though.
The production is vintage Sia with a little bit more polish and shine.

I'm shook to my core. OPENING the show and they are gonna serve something iconic. There are always a lot of moving parts leading up to these shows, so I wonder what changed from their previous tweet about Kelly performing a new song and a fan favorite.

Medicine is just a rip off Bodak Yellow, so I don't think she should go there tbh. Jackkkkkkkk

So the album is great! It feels more diverse and a lot less heavy than Lady Wood. Stranger and Shivering Gold scalped my bald. Wanna give it a second listen, especially the Pitch Black half, but it definitely feels more like a hybrid of Lady Wood and QOTC in the best way possible.

None of the three are guaranteed hits, and have their own pros/cons.
Heat and Send My Love have a very similar vibe/instrumentation, but it's not anywhere near a "rip-off."
Medicine is the most complicated choice for me, since it's the most out-there sounding of the three, and it does take a bit to get to its gotcha hook. But, once it gets you, it gets you.
WYCTL is on trend, but also lacking a big high that would be expected of a traditional Kelly pop song.

Wait! Does Gaga have new music coming out? I don't follow her very closely. Excited she'll be at the AMA's but was hoping for a new song. DJWS and Gaga herself (to a lesser extent) have been banging the pre-announcement hype drum in that way artists do to get their stans worked up for new music, but officially there isn't anything until the A Star Is Born soundtrack is out. We'll probably get a pop single from that for whatever it will be worth.
