The following could be a reach, so take this with a grain of salt, but I think she's going to announce a performance in the US, with a possibility that it may be SNL. Confirmed.

Does his back hurt from carrying Grey To be honest, it feels like he has been drawing in a lot of inspiration and influence from them, especially in his instrumentation and percussion. They even both featured remixes of Queen songs on Zedd's last tour! It's an interesting relationship, to say the least.

I am just done with her label's self-sabotage on this. It's like they want it to go away at this point?

The shamelessness and competence with which they mimic other artists' style and sound is breathtaking.

"I Don't Think About You" is the next single. I WILL say that this is a much better complement to her stint on The Voice since she doesn't spend a third of the song mumbling in her lower range.

I'm sorry, but BMG is delusional. A three-month rollout in 2018? Of a project whose lead single leaked a week before it was announced? The full album will be leaked by Valentine's Day.

NNNnnn I'm assuming this means they are resigned to an extremely early leak, and we're going to get a rush release.
BMG is too messy. Poor Kylie.

She's got a great voice and a strong sound for a new artist. She could deliver some standout summer songs in her first era, and it would be interested to see how she evolves from that.

"Wake Me Up" is probably the best comparison for the instrumental, mixed with the carefree airiness Kylie does effortlessly.
Is it a bit basic? Yes, but let's be real, no one else is serving this kind of pop music right now. Plus, the darker lyrics give it a Robyn "Dancing on My Own" anti-pop twist.

I really love this. It feels like the musical love child of George Michael, Depeche Mode, Erasure, and Michael Jackson. I am glad to see this doing so well already. Took the words right out of my mouth. It's got that rebellious George Michael spirit, with a modern musical sensibility.

AIEW is essentially an anthology of Pop from 2009. They basically had her record a song in every style on the charts at that time and you can almost track them to their inspiration 1:1. It's her "anything you can do I can do better" album and even its lowest points have redeeming qualities.

www.kanyetothe.com/forum/index.php?topic=4922105.0Pitchfork critics rate this and Charli XCX's bad mixtape higher than Dangerous Woman, Anti, Daydream, and Bedtime Storage. No shade to Cupcake or Charlotte, who are talented, but shade to the the staff who does this and subtweets Spotify staff all day for favoring major label music over what they chose to highlight. Do better, hunties! it's an opinion, hunty. I'm sorry your fav didn't get a good score. Maybe next time. And label payola for playlist placement is an industry issue that needs to be addressed in some form. Please keep the discussion to critically acclaimed artist cupcakKe and her fantastic new album.

How can I personally dedicate my life to getting this to #1 and breaking the chart run length record?

Seemed like a fun night for her! I kinda love that she's embracing a lot of these industry events she shunned for a while, and is actually enjoying them. Imma need that second single announcement/rollout tho. I'm hoping the delay means we are getting the song, the video, and tour announcement all at once. Then a promo roadmap including The Voice and Grammy's (whether or not she performs single 2 or not), and she has an enviable few months for second single promo.

I'm ready for this. And I'm hoping he's gone to a moody synth driven sort of sound.....Like Duran Duran with gay depression.

If she doesn't release something by the end of this month, I'm going to turn straight.

I really hope that IDGAF closes out this era. She's had a major smash with New Rules, and IDGAF has a promising early reception, but it's time for new material. Take a break, maybe get some features out there in the meantime, and storm back in Q3 or Q4, please.

Okay this is full of bops and is extremely impressive and it's an independent release. It charted extremely well on iTunes, but because she doesn't have major label payola, none of the songs are being playlisted.
Duck Duck Goose is hilarious, Self Interview is stunning, and Total is a summer smash.
The women of hip hop are out here doing the damn thing.

I've gotten the impression that she favors Medicine, and I would be inclined to trust her instincts if she had sold the hell out of it live, like she did Piece by Piece (and Because of You), but it doesn't seem like she has much of a connection to the song.
Also this is something I could not disagree with more. Pop is not serving anything strong at the moment. Whether or not any of these are strong enough to cut through the drowsy mumbles and tired rap songs dominating is another matter.

Apparently they have been testing the s**t out of it and it has been testing positively. Which is bizarre to me because it sounds terrible. Lol I just have very little interest in Star is Born. I may spend my savings to go see her in Vegas though. Like, damn that is going to be a great show. If she really filmed all of the performances live, I could see reshoots being needed. It's tricky to film a concert live, let alone for a movie, which is a completely different style of filming. Plus, getting the sound recorded live in a high enough quality can be tricky. (At my friend's test screening, they noted the sound was still rough in parts). I'm not super worried, and they have tested this so much, they probably have a good idea as to what needs tweaked.

Based on that performance, barring a radio mix or a feature of some kind to liven this up, this is DOA. I have completely turned against this as a single over the past week or two.

Spotted this on Spotify today. It's the first of her Japanese albums to be made available on streaming! God bless. I need more of her back catalog to make it onto streaming. She's put all of her albums on Apple Music (Oddly I can't seem to find Fantome now) and they'll all be added to Spotify in January (I believe it's the 8th, but not 100% certain). She's also going on tour next year. An icon returns.

Stranger just still is sooooooo single-worthy I'd literally pay money just to hear that guitar drop on radio. I am STILL not over this song. I can't wait to hear it live if she tours for this album.

Anybody have any video of her show in Chicago the other night? I can’t find anything on YouTube. I only have a few short bits here and there. I was too distracted by seeing and hearing god herself to record much.

So tonight she introduced Medicine by saying it was in the running to be the final song.
Honestly after seeing it and Heat performed live in the same show, it has to be Heat. There are slight live tweaks to Heat that mad either even more impactful life while Medicine felt flat.
I think that Medicine is a better song overall, but Heat is a better single. Medicine will need a radio remix and live arrangement fixes to be viable. It's the type of song that benefits from a fresh interpretation each performance, since it has so many unique pieces to move around and adjust. If they choose Medicine, they need to commit to it.
EDIT: Just want to add, as someone who as seen her every tour since 2 Worlds 2 Voices, this was the best she’s sounded vocally, and the best banter I’ve seen. (I had a post-cold show on the Stronger Honda Tour and a post pregnancy announcement PxP show)

I have a new, small qualm with Medicine as a single, in that I don't think it goes as hard as it could after the bridge.
The bridge is great and the big note is perfect, but after that it feels kind of flat. The chorus only runs once after this, which is great compared to LSS, which feels like it just keeps going, but I would prefer a 90s Mariah key change and extended end of the song. If they tightened up some of the low, spoken parts and padding in-between verses, the run time wouldn't change drastically either.
