I love when Carrie does creative shots, and not just smiley pictures.

I think Carrie felt a personal necessity to release MS - regardless of how it would perform. Eh. I don't think Carrie's desires had much of anything to do with 'Mama's Song' seeing a single release. It was included in the iTunes Countdown -- previous singles 'Temporary Home' & 'Undo It' were both included as well -- and it was singled out by multiple critics early on as being a likely single.

I was just thinking yesterday...Wouldn't it be really cool if Carrie released her 4th album on 11/1/11!!! That is a tuesday, so it would work out, and it is a really memorable date. Also, following Carrie's usual album release pattern it makes sense.... SH- Nov. 15th CR- Oct. 23rd PO- Nov. 3rd
Ps. We have 4 days this year that are cool like that... 1/1/11 1/11/11 11/1/11 11/11/11

Don't know how reliable that is, but if so, I for one am excited.

Eh, not sure what to think of this. I think Quitter would be a great song for the spring, but I really wanna see how Someday... does on the charts. I might have already stated this but my single choices were 1) Cowboy Casanova 2) Temporary Home 3) Undo It 4) Someday When I Stop Loving You 5) Quitter Of course, Mama's Song got released instead for #4 and I got upset at it (I really shouldn't have since it's about to go #1 ). Simply put, I wouldn't mind Quitter if Someday were released in place of Mama's Song. P.S. I'm not really sure how reliable Pandora is since I don't use it that much.

If that's true, ugh. WCIS or SWISLY need to be released. I would have been content with "Q" being 5th if WCIS or SWISLY were released in place of MS, otherwise ugh. I do think this song will go #1 and all, but I don't see t garnering Carrie ANY critical acclaim.

Don't know how reliable that is I obviously wouldn't consider that an official confirmation or anything. But I figured it was notable enough. I hope it's the real deal, though.

Whitney Allen aired her interview with Carrie on her syndicated show tonight. If you missed it, you can download it from my site.

After MS was released, they can't really do any worse (unless they released "Play On" ). I wonder if they promised a single to Max Martin? The production on "Quitter" is at least a fresh sound for Carrie.

It's a shame if SWISLY or WCIS isn't the final single...but I'll take Quitter over Songs Like This, because we don't need another guy-basher. And "This Time" just screams album filler. "Quitter" is a fresh sound for Carrie as mentioned above, so I wouldn't mind it.
But "Unapologize" is a different sound for her too, and is better lyrically, so I wouldn't mind that one either.

I prefer "Quitter" over "This Time", "Unapologize" and "Songs Like This". And I love "Quitter". It's been one of my favorites since the album got released. But I'm hoping for a more critically acclaimed single to end the "Play On" Era.

On the next album I really want Carrie to work with more people like Bill Anderson, etc. Real great lyricists in country music, no more Kara, Max Martin...

But I do agree that I want her to write with Bill Anderson, because Oklahoma Wind is such a great song and I hope Carrie and Bill can come up with more stuff like that. I would really be curious to see Carrie write a (country) song with Lady GaGa (not sing together or duet, just write), just to see how that would turn out. I doubt that would ever happen though.

With all due respect Kara did not have a hand in writing "Cowboy Casanova". It was written by Mike Elizondo, Brett James, Carrie Underwood. You have convinced me to see the light though that pop writers working with Carrie can work, perfect example being "Cowboy Casanova". I would like to see Mike Elizondo back in the mix, but leave Kara out.

I'd love to see Carrie be a bit choosier about her co-writers on the next album. Stick with the ones that have worked (Gordie Sampson, Hillary Lindsey, Brett James, Luke Laird, etc.; continue working with the ones that promise amazing results (i.e. Bill Anderson - Oklahoma Wind), and begin writing with more good country songwriters. While I personally love a lot of the poppier songs she's done (Undo It, Unapologize, Twisted, and a lot of the stuff from SH), I'd love to see album four take more of a countrier direction, and I think the biggest hurdle in getting there is focusing most of her writing sessions on the country world.

I agree with countrygirl918, I would love to see Carrie branch out with great country writers. I don't think you have to go to a pop writer to write a catchy song that audiences from other genres will like.

Jesus Take The Wheel and Before He Cheats are great examples of that. Like Carrie's said in the past, a great song is a great song regardless of genre, and even if none of her future material crosses over on the radio charts (due to her stance on non-remixing and not promoting to other genres), that doesn't mean it can't be a hit among listeners of other genres.

I ave the latest sound clips of Carrie's thoughts on "Writing and Relationships. You can listen to it on my CARRIE SAYS page. Make sure you speakers are on prior to entering that page! ETA: The podcast is up for the Big D & Bubba show, although both parts are mistakenly the same part 2. Till they have that fixed, I have the whole interview capped and you can listen to the whole thing at my site. Also, listen to the intro to MS by Carole Underwood!

'Oklahoma Wind' demo with Carrie's vocals was posted on CarrieFans by Nowelle. I took down the link 'cause I'm not sure if linking to the demo is allowed or not. ???
Anyway..it's already spread like a wildfire through the Carrie fan community, though. So you can find it pretty much...anywhere.

OH MY GOD. Country masterpiece.
Okay, I haven't listened yet, but I have high expectations.
Edit: After listening, I still agree. It is wrong, so wrong, if we never hear this recorded.
