Carrie was spotted at King Roads Cafe in Studio City, California today: More pics can be found here -- including a couple of her dining with a man & a woman. I'm 99.9% sure that man is David Hodges, therefore I'd be willing to bet the woman is Hillary Lindsey.

That's cool! I'm certainly taking this as a sign??? Possible ads date if it continues it's climb without label support... I don't think this is a sign that Songs Like This is the next single. Remember 2 years ago when The More Boys I Meet charted from unsolicitated airplay right before I Told You So was released? The More Boys I Meet never became an official single. It just so happened there was enough audience impressions for the song to chart on Billboard. Well, it turns out that the same big station that helped The More Boys I Meet chart also helped Songs Like This chart: KEEY. So, as I said, I don't think this means Songs Like This is planned to be the next single. However, I say there is no harm in requesting the song and trying to get the song as high as possible. Perhaps if it gets high enough, Arista will decide to officially release it. Or maybe Arista will go ahead and release another single or at least make an announcement about the next single. If all else fails, at least it gives us a song to watch on the charts for a little while lol.

Placing bets on how long it will take before someone gets ahead of themselves and starts a "Songs Like This" thread in the country forum. ;)
Anyway, I figure it can't hurt to request the song. Gives us something to do while we wait for some sort of announcement on what to expect for the next several months for Carrie.

Wow @ their explanation. Perhaps one or two less "jokes" during the monologue would have solved the issue. ::rolls eyes

LMAO, that's such BS! They're not following their own rule of having 8 nominees because of time constraints??! That's the best excuse they can come up with?? Why even have criteria when you're not gonna follow them?

I don't care if there are only 3 nominees, Carrie should be one of them. And she should win it too. But to ignore her like that is just stupid.

Uhhhh wow, what is this? Middle School? Man up to the truth... there was no room in the monologue or entire show? Last year I recall them staying in their allotted time. Two extra names to say that can easily be said all in one breath? BS!
Who is this person?

that is so stupid! they can just be like the cmas and not do the eoty nominees in the monologue at all.
and is it really that important??? people already know who the nominees are with all the hoopla of announcing and text message voting. do we really need another loooooonnnngggg reminder at the beginning of the show? because i dont see the grammys having a long monologue of the album of the year nominees before announcing who the winner is at the end.
he should have just shut up, like the cmas. now he sounds more idiotic.

LMAO, that makes absolutely no sense. If there's a three way tie for 2nd or 3rd, you just take all three and can still cap it at five. There's no need to go down to the sixth one in either of those scenarios. The only time you need to go down to sixth is when there's a three way tie for 4th (or two way tie for 5th). Their explanation makes it sound more like they did everything possible to get Carrie out of the category, not less

I think it would have been better had they not used that as an excuse. In my opinion they loose even more credibility to me....Even if what that man is saying is true, and they really didn't want to have 8 nominees because of time related reasons, that is still very very lame!!!
On a good note though, on american's funniest videos that was on tonight, they played Flat On The Floor for a montage of people falling on the floor! Haha. It was awesome!

And im happy for Toby but i have to say if there was only one person nomininated it should of been Carrie!! I saw her at the HOLLYWOOD BOWL and i still get goosebumps thinking about the final note from HGTA that she held for 20 seconds!! And then the long standing O she got from the LA LA land crowd! She is truly something very special!!!

It's interesting to be on yes.com and see what Carrie album tracks are being played. Like right now, WGTY is playing Quitter.

Have you guys been following the shake-up over at Sony? Most of Carrie's original label "team" is gone. Butch Waugh (retired in December 2009) Joe Galante (left April 2010) and the most recent is... I just saw it on Country Aircheck... Renee Bell I almost missed the last part of that which said that Craig Morgan has also left the label. He follows other Sony artists Alan Jackson, Martina McBride and Chuck Wicks who have all left their Sony labels recently. I'm betting Carrie is contractually obligated for at least 2 more albums, probably more. That's a sinking ship right there and not only can she not jump off, they're weighing her down. Sigh, I really, really miss Joe G!

Ok I'm over it but one thing for sure you don't win AI by not being a very competitive person!! Even when she was getting all her awards she was getting better and working on everything she was already good at. The growth she has shown in her stage presence alone is astronomical!!! She will be happy for everyone and say all the right things and be the classy person that we all know she is!! But deep down I bet the fire is getting hotter and hotter and she can't wait to explode in a real bonafide Entertaining SUPERNOVA!!! We can thank all the people that screwed her out of the EOTY nomination because all it does is motivate Carrie into being the EOAT(ALL TIME)!! No matter what she does next I'll support her but I believe she is about to take it to a level that we won't even believe and that's saying something!!!

Carrie released an official statement regarding Mike's move to the Nashville Predators: "We will both truly miss Ottawa,” Underwood said in a statement Thursday. “Mike has been such a big part of the community, and I will never forget how they welcomed me with open arms. We obviously love Nashville, and the teams’ decision for him to now play with the Predators is an exciting opportunity for Mike. I support him wherever he plays!”

That's great for Nashville to have Mike Fisher, but I hate that a radio station KISS-FM is banning Carrie's music over something that Carrie has no control over which I have to think its stupid and dumb. To the ACM people Carrie should have been a nominee in EOTY because it makes you ACM people look every stupid not to nominee her after winning it for 2 years in a row.. Here's the article: ottawa.ctv.ca/servlet/an/local/CTVNews/20110210/OTT_KISS_110210/20110210/?hub=OttawaHome

Guess she should've stuck with the hometown team all along
