I love that Carrie, in spite of being ill, didn't dodge the big notes and still went for it, sounding better than most of the artists on radio today. BTW- I really like bedroom-voice Carrie

Jerrod does have an excellent voice, I could dig a duet with Carrie and him. Even though Carrie was basically just singing backup for him, I agree. Their voices blend really nicely together. I'd love to see them collaborate on something in the future.

I'm jumping on the Carrie-Jarrod duet train.

What intrigues me more about that duet is the idea of them writing together. Jerrod is an excellent country writer with some awesome bluesy melodies, so I think them writing together would be fantastic.

I had a dream last night that Brad decided to trick us and release the duet with Carrie as his second single. Hahaha. It was awesome until I awoke and realized it was not real..... :( lol

Here's a more in-depth interview with Brad regarding 'Remind Me' (3:18 mark), he pretty much confirms that it is gonna get a single release eventually. I'm just really curious as to how this is going to affect the fourth album's release.

If you missed Carrie co-hosting America's Opry Weekend, I capped and edited the audio for you. You can download the cap from my site.

I'm just really curious as to how this is going to affect the fourth album's release. I guess it depends on how fast Brad's new single "Old Alabama" peaks. My guess is they'll make the Carrie/Brad duet single #3 off his album, and then Carrie will release her lead single right after the duet peaks. So there won't be downtime between the duet and the lead single, but the downtime is right now instead.

The "Crying" performance from the Opry was wonderful to hear again. It's one of those things that seem so long ago, but just like yesterday if that makes sense. Thanks again.

CMT Awards will be held on June 8. Confirmed by Cody Allan on Twitter.
I really hope Carrie gets a few nods. I don't think we can afford anymore snubs.

^ I honestly don't think she will be recognized in those as well. This has been a horrible year so far!

The "Undo It" video broke so many records on CMT, didn't it? I'd be surprised if it didn't get nominated for Female Video, and the performance of it at last year's show was amazing, so I'd like to see it get a nod for Performance of the Year.
However, considering our recent luck with award shows, I won't hold my breath for anything.

I remember thinking last year right after the performance that Carrie would win performance of the year because of it. It was on fire. I think she'll definitely get that award.

ACM Adds Women, Men to Girls' Night Out TV SpecialThe Academy of Country Music (ACM) has added three women -- and quite a few men -- to its Girls' Night Out: Superstar Women of Country -- The Concert of the Year television taping at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on April 4. Plus, all five of the honorees will perform during the show.
The Judds and Loretta Lynn have joined the concert's all-star lineup, along with Jason Aldean, Ronnie Dunn, Vince Gill, Rascal Flatts and Blake Shelton. As previously announced, the television special salutes the achievements of Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride, Reba McEntire, Carrie Underwood and Sugarland's Jennifer Nettles.
Throughout the concert, each presenter will perform a solo and occasionally duet with their honoree. Duets include Dunn with Nettles, Rascal Flatts with McEntire and Gill with Underwood, as well as special performances by Aldean and Shelton, with more to be announced.

I don't think CMT will snub Carrie, but if they did, then something fishy is definitely going on lol.

^^There's an idea: For Vince Gill's next CD (will be released this year), a duet with Carrie Underwood should be on it. Can you imagine the blending of those two Okies?

It seems this year is the year of duets in Carrie's career. Brad, Tony, Randy, possibly Vince Gill... Late last year Loretta... It's nice to see such reputable people working with Carrie.

This downtime in Carrie's career would be a good time for her to do a CMT Crossroads with someone.

I'd actually like to see a Crossroads with a female singer. We don't get to hear Carrie singing with another female too often.

Adele + Carrie Crossroads please. Their voices would blend perfectly, and I think Carrie's voice would fit Adele's bluesy, soulful style perfectly.

As people have stated I'm sure she'd (Adele) do one with Lady A since she seems to be linked to them. I would think Carrie would most like to do hers with a hard rocker though. :/
