It's already #1 on iTunes actually... lmao. Remixes for this are apparently going to be by Chew Fu, DJ White Shadow, and.. someone else but I can't remember of find the source. It was already posted in the single thread in pop. Very interested in seeing how the mixes sound. They've got a lot to work with and the song has a lot of room for improvement IMHO.

I hate gaga but I admit she has had some good songs. This is just weak and I'm tired of her using gays to seem edgy.
ps could she have ripped off madonna "espress yourself" any more?

A testament to how much effort Liam Keegan puts into his mixes: his is already out. That said, it's not bad. Just wish it were.. crisper.

The original is pure pop vomit how so? and how would you improve the song if you could? I don't agree that it's "pure vomit" but I agree there are quite a few things that could be done in terms of improvement. This is far from a perfect pop song.

The original is pure pop vomit how so? and how would you improve the song if you could? Instantly recognisable melodies from other, better, songs, atrocious pandering & preachy nonsensical lyrics and produced with so much cheese it would make dairy farmers lactose intolerant. I wouldnβt hate it so much if I didnβt anticipate hearing it everywhere. As for improvement, demolition is a good place to start.

aren't lead singles supposed to be one of the best(if not THE best) track off the album? i think this song is so weak. if she had released this back in the day instead of "just dance," she would be singing in the subway for spare change today.

Why release a track that's one of the best when she could release an "average" track and have it explode? This single was bound to explode no matter what because the anticipation was so high. The true test will be with the other singles off the album.

I agree with Zach. And BTW, this song IS a dance song, so any comment about it is dance related. My thoughts on the song: Not as catchy as "Bad Romance" or "Poker Face," but it is her most purely dance single to date, and as such I approve. It's not great, but not bad, either. I'll buy the original.

I suppose but not in the context of this thread (or at least the established standard for the dance board here on Pulse). And it was more-so the thought process that I disagreed with more than anything.

I just wanted to post some random opinions about this song and a few things in general.
First off, I LOVE this song! I haven't been able to stop listening to it since it came out. I love the music, the beats, the lyrics, and the message that it get's across. I don't care if it sounds like some old Madonna song, which by the way, I don't think that it does. I've listened to Express Yourself a bunch of times since this came out and I heard that it sounded like it just to see if I could find a likeness, and I really don't think it sounds anything like Express Yourself. But that's just my opinion. I know not everybody is going to agree, and that's okay, because to me that's what makes us all special, and if we all had the same opinions, the world would be a boring place.
Second, i'm really looking foreward to hearing who's on board to remix this song. I saw that Chew Fu is on board, and honestly my reaction to that when I read it, was just "Oh, him again"? I don't mean to dis him, because he has remixed a few songs that i've kinda sorta liked, but none of his mixes have ever been my favorite remix of a song, so i'm not that excited to see he's remixing this. He's done some good work, and he's also done some not so good work. I've had a hard time listening to his remixes after his work on Rihanna's Russian Roulette. My feelings on that song was that Moran & Rigg's Mixes were unbeatable anyways, but really, Chew's Mixes of Russian Roulette to me were actually painfull to listen to. Not only that, but his mixes are just to ghetto for my style, and they all seem to sound the same. But once again, that's just me and my opinion, and also my personal preference. If people disagree which i'm sure they will, it's okay. Anyways, i'm done with that rant. Back to remixers. I feel this is the most club ready Lady Gaga song she's ever released as a single. I think it's gonna be hard to get a remix out of this song that's as good or better than the original song, and I LOOOVE club mixes, but with a song like this, I think if it can't be done as good if not better than the original, don't bother. The only unofficial mix i've heard that I actually like so far is the Lady Gaga vs. Kelly Rowland Mix. It gives the chorus an extra kick, and I like that. It will be interesting to see some of the other unofficial mixes once the acapella surfaces. Sometimes I like the unofficials better than the official ones. I'm hoping for a mix from John Michael & Billy Waters. I loved what they did with Bad Romance, however, I hope this time they keep the entire song intact. The only thing I didn't like about their Bad Romance Mix was that the chorus was missing after the first verse, and the ending chorus was not the true ending chorus to the song. So for that, I chose a different favorite mix, which i'll get to in a minute. Also, I hope there arn't any mixes for this song that never see's the light of day like Eddie Baez's Anthem Mix to Bad Romance. I can't believe that never came out. Weird. Although after his recent Black Eyed Peas - The Time remix, i'm not so sure i'd wanna hear it. Also there were DJ Paulo mixes Telephone and Alejandro that never saw the light of day, only a DJ Paulo Dub to Alejandro. A small clip of his mix to Telephone can be heard on Youtube, and i've always wanted to hear the full high quality version, but it never came out. Bleh!
And last, here are my favorite mixes to all of Lady Gaga's singles.
Just Dance (Manny Lehman Mix) Poker Face (Bryan Reyes Mix) Love Game (Ranny Vs. The Popstar Mix) Eh, Eh (Nothing Else I Can Say) (Pet Shop Boys Mix) Paparazzi (Cajjmere Wray's Flashbulb Radio Mix) Bad Romance (Bimbo Jones Vocal Mix) Telephone (Kaskade Mix) Alejandro (Bimbo Jones Radio Mix)
I'm hoping for some good hard hitting big name remixers on Born This Way. It is worthy of it in my opinion. After hearing Moran & Rigg's remixes to Ne-Yo's Monster, i'd love to hear what they could do to BTW. Monster was already a dance song that they turned into an even harder hitting dance anthem with emotion. That's what this song needs. I don't think it needs something dark, because it's not a dark song, it's a very happy uplifting song actually. But I guess we'll see in the next month or so whatever will be. Can't wait! And also can't wait for the music video to come out. I bet it's gonna be epic!

I just ordered a copy of the Walmart exclusive remix EP: www.walmart.com/ip/15846846 for $5.00 -- according to their website it won't be out til 3-15-11, but some people are saying they're finding it on the shelves already of their local store. Supposedly it contains the LA Riots remix, the Chew Fu remix, and a mix by DJ White Shadow (who co-produced the song). Not sure if these are edits or full mixes, but can't wait to find out!

-LA Riots Remix (6:33) -Chew Fu Born to Fix Remix (5:53) -DJ White vs DJ Snake Remix (4:24)
I think these remixes are absolutely horrid. Most of them just feel like noise over some beats with the acapella thrown in for the hell of it.

The LA Riots & DJ White Snake mixes are so bad they're nearly unlistenable, but I'm actually finding the Chew Fu mix quite nice! Mainly because the chord structure stays faithful to the original. I'll for sure spin it at my next gig Friday. My li'l madonna mashup is getting tiring even to me

I couldn't agree more, Disco Cowbow. All 3 remixes are just awful. I actually can't stand the Chew Fu Remix. I think it's one of his worst remixes to date, and the fact that he included all of the song except the entire "No matter gay, straight or bi" part just irriates me soooo much. That's like one of my favorite parts of the song, and why would that one section be excluded from the mix? Just makes me hate the remix, not that it really sounded great anyways. The other 2 mixes are just noisy messy dubs basically. I don't know how any of these even got approved. Hopefully there are some major big name remixers on board for the part 2 remixes that will actually do this song some justice. I know they can afford it. Still waiting for some decent unofficial remixes too. Hoping Rafael Lelis, Billy Waters, Trypsin, Popstar, and Alex Dubbing will tackle this soon. I'm still praying for a Tony Moran & Warren Rigg Mix. So far though my favorite Remix is the DJ's From Mars Remix.

Digitally Delivered:
Bimbo Jones Club Mix (6:50) Bimbo Jones Dub (6:16) Dada Life Club Remix (5:15) Grum Club Remix (5:59) Jost & Naaf Remix (5:57) Manhattan Clique Remix (6:27) Michael Woods Remix (6:25) Starsmith Club Remix (6:45) Twin Shadow Remix (4:04) Zedd Club Remix (6:30)
After the first listen I think i'm enjoying the Manhattan Clique Mix the most so far. The Bimbo Jones Mix is okay. Kinda messy and it's a little irritating that the first verse is there twice, but the entire part before the final chorus is missing, like in the Chew Fu Mix. Also, another standout is the Grum Mix. Not bad. The remixes are all pretty good, but nothing with the wow factor yet. So far a pretty bland set of mixes. Hoping more are forthcoming.

Bimbo Jones, Grum, and Manhattan Clique remixed this and they're not including those on the CD maxi? I doubt they'll do two CD maxis, so this really irritates me. I really needed a mix to make me actually like the song, and if any it will be those. i'm grateful this song came out. i always need a song to come on that allows me a bathroom break when i'm dancing lol.

I like the Grum and Bimbo Jones mixes. The Grum mix sounds like a watered down Stock Aitken Waterman production. It's cute and cheesey enough. I like that the BJ one bears some resemblance to the original. I don't like the other ones.
