This is a candid photograph of Junior Vasquez in his remix archives (which I can't even imagine all the fantastic goodies hidden away in THOSE vaults...) Let's have a Pulse "Write Your Own Caption" contest! Whoever comes up with the funniest caption to the photo wins. Here, I'll go first: "Now where did I put that damn Flinstones remix..."

"Now there's that 'I Want You' mix that everyone thought got lost. Gosh, if only Madonna would call again...Maybe not, that's how we got into this mess in the first place."

Now where is that Billie Jean remix I snagged from Tony Moran when he wasn't looking Actually you wanna know the funny thing about that (and this is SO off-topic I really oughta make another thread about it, but whatever) is I'm starting to wonder now if there even IS such a thing as the Tony Moran mix of "Billie Jean"....the only place people have claimed to have heard it is the MJ Megaremix (10:33) where part of it was used among the 6 or 7 other songs. However, looking at the specific remix credits for that megamix: ....it appears that TM himself had nothing to do with this Billie Jean remix! It was all Ronnie Ventura! They did work together on a remix of "Don't Stop Til You Get Enough" however, which would be lovely to find. So now I wonder if there's 2 seperate vault mixes out there of "Billie Jean" one done by Ronnie Ventura (from the megamix) and one done by Tony Moran (that no one has EVER heard probably!) haha

A few months ago, I heard the Direct Hit remix of Cher's "The Shoop Shoop Song (It's In His Kiss)", assuming it was an original production possibly programmed and engineered by some of the folks who did on Tony's mixes. I hadn't heard the Ronnie Ventura mixes at that time (or so I thought) as I only knew of the Nikolas & Sibley ones. I did some searching and found a clip and the mystery was solved.

Well when I saw Tony Moran spin once I requested his BJ mix and he said that he would play his You are not alone mix instead, which he did... so he didn't respond back denying that hemade one for BJ...
And Mike, that's nice that they credited the mixes of the Megaremix like that. My CD single doesn't have a detailed description like that. The one I have with the Megaremix is from the European CD release of Earth Song that had the Megaremix as a bonus track.

Have a look: Strange how only Ronnie Ventura is credited as creating the megamix on this one, but then on the You Are Not Alone it suddenly lists Tony Moran. Wonder if they just wanted to capitalize on TM's big-name status, and really the one mainly responsible for the megamix was in fact Ronnie Ventura? Veddy interesting....
