I really hope The War Is Over is the 3rd or 4th single. Its the kind of ballad that could make an impact.

"The War Is Over" is useless in all incarnations so, no1curr. Is everyone seriously ignoring this laughable statement? Good. "The War Is Over" >>>>> Agreed, The War Is Over is a great song. It has ended up being in the top half of songs for me on Stronger.

I agree with CammyCan. "The War Is Over" is in the bottom 3 tracks on Stronger.

TWIO is good, but if we're releasing a Gad track, it's going to be Einstein

I hope the 3rd single is Dark Side. It's different, it's NOT a man-hater song (something she has been criticized on a lot lately) and it's freaking gorgeous. I think people will be really receptive to it after WDKY smashes. Plus she rocks at singing it live, so the promo for it could be AMAZING and she could get some amazing reviews. I would love to see her perform this at a high-profile spot, simply because I think she can sing it better than WDKY.
Plus, if they go all out for the music video (or do what we all have been talking about with the music-box type thing) it could be one of the best music videos ever, get her a performance on the VMAs along with a nomination and MORE promo. Woot!
Oh, and the name "Dark Side" is just awesome. I feel like that alone could draw some attention to it. Then again I'm weird.

The War Is Over is my second most played song from Stronger, only a few plays behind WDKY. It's amazing.

After a few weeks of having the album and letting it marinate with me, here is my track order (starting with my favourite):
You Love Me (something about this track speaks to me) The War is Over (stunning song, incredible emoting by Kell) Dark Side (I want this to smash hard) What Doesn't Kill You (Stronger) (see above) Alone (in love with the 80's feel) Honestly Let Me Down Mr. Know It All Einstein I Forgive You The Sun Will Rise (empowering without being cheesy)
Standing in Front of You You Can't Win Don't Be a Girl About It Breaking Your Own Heart Hello Why Don't You Try
For me, this is my favourite Kelly album YET. It's better than Breakaway for me, at this point. Only time will tell, but for now, I am still enjoying the heck out of it!!!!
Also super excited for the X-Factor performance. My hope is that the band has found a way to incorporate the "electronic" elements of the studio version of WDKY into the live setting. Fingers crossed!!!!!!

Why did it take HDD so long to get the numbers up? I think it was past 8 and they weren't up yet. I'm somewhat happy with the numbers this week.

So much for them not being able to get the new songs sounding great live.
Full band HQ Darkside sounds EPIC.

That Already Gone arrangement was by far the best she's ever done. So ironic that they felt the need to change it up for the past performances while the original arrangement is still the best. The Mr Know It All performance was crazy good too. She sounded so confident and sang effortlessly, and this particular live performance sounds much much better than the one on the record!

It may just be because I'm listening to it on expensive headphones that Danny and Franklin could never afford, but the mixing on the Vevo set is insane.
Usually, with her live sets (Yahoo/a few others) the sound has sounded so flat and underwhelming, but the Vevo one is mixed amazingly. She sounds incredible and they really get the epic feel of her live show. Bravo. Anyone agree?

I'm beyond pressed rn that they did not include I Know You Won't and to a lesser extent What Doesn't Kill You. Otherwise this sounds incredible! I'm beyond impressed. Sober is out of this world. It may just be because I'm listening to it on expensive headphones that Danny and Franklin could never afford, but the mixing on the Vevo set is insane. cunt.

I missed the rankings the first time too and I'd like to see how you rank the Smoakstack Sessions. 1. You Love Me (album) 2. Let Me Down 3. You Can't Win 4. Don't Be A Girl About It 5. I Can't Make You Love Me (Smoakstack Sessions) 6. Dark Side 7. What Doesn't Kill You (Stronger) 8. Mr Know It All 9. The Sun Will Rise (album/Smoakstack Sessions) 10. The War is Over (album/Smoakstack Sessions) 11. If I Can't Have You (Smoakstack Sessions) 12. Alone 13. Honestly 14. I Forgive You 15. Hello (album/Smoakstack Sessions) 16. Breaking Your Own Heart 17. Standing in Front of You 18. Einstein
19. You Love Me (Smoakstack Sessions)
I honestly don't know where to put Don't You Wanna Stay.

Thinkin' aloud. - Did they take some out?
- They made the time 21:22.
- 21:22 = one half-hour on TV.
-
Half-hour special, maybe?
-
... then why take out WDKY?
- Guess that ruins that idea.

^^ hahah i love that you thought about it. I doubt they would make it a tv special and put it online now...wouldn't they wait for it to air...that would affect viewership wouldn't it. And my lesson when it comes to Kelly promo....dont make any assumptions until its official...this way you dont get let down! What a flawless start to this era tho!

That performance of Sober was just....wow. I'm not too disappointed by I Know You Won't not being included since we got it as part of Unplugged anyway.
I could see it airing on TV at some point! It won't be any big deal or high rated thing, but maybe Fuse or Palladia would throw it on sometime.

I don't think I've ever had a HQ live Sober that catered to my tastes, but the Vevo one did the trick. Probably the best Already Gone aside from Nova too. Dark Side was a effing smash hit too. I could have done with the I Know you Won't and Seven Nation Army versions, but then again, whose to say they're lost forever? Kelly fans have a lot to be thankful for. I guess what I'm trying to say is, I'm thankful for the lesson, and the blessings that I learned witchu by my side.

The Vevo video is incredible, but I'm very ~oprahsuspicious about this, in a good way. They left off three key performances: the most buzzed about, her next single, and her favorite song off the album. Why? Maybe it's wishful, spoiled, selfish thinking, but I don't think we've seen the last of this Troubadour footage.
And yeah, the sound is phenomenal. No other professionally recorded sets of hers have sounded close to this. It's so...full. Wonderful.

I have been lurking on my phone the past two days because of work, upcoming holiday, etc. and just wanted to also add my to RCA this era. Having her label and manager being on the same page as herself certainly has it's perks because, although I did always believe that Kelly would get RCA's version of the royal treatment in terms of promotion for this record, I honestly would NEVER have dreamed of the extent of the high-profile and really cool promotion, for example: -The free Sony-sponsored LA and London concerts, the first of which has professional (DVD-like) footage posted by Sony on the web -an iTunes EP of updated KC songs -'Kill' featured as the theme song of a large-scale Toyota promotional campaign, with Kelly in the ad -VH1 Unplugged -VH1 Divas -X Factor US tonight (soooo excited to hear the non-acoustic 'Kill' in HQ live for the first time tonight, BTW) -Dancing With The Stars -American Music Awards -Co-Hosting the Today Show thing -The usual album release week television performances -5000 Jingle Balls that she will be headlining -Loads of US and non-US radio and television interviews -The non-US worldwide amazing spots (Germany radio concerts, NRL Australia, X Factor in Germany, UK, and Australia) just to name a few And the best part is that we are only in the infancy of this era. If 'Kill' fulfills the destiny that many of us (myself included) have forecasted, it's success should spawn a whole new round of high-profile appearances and performances, such as (but not limited to) the Grammys, American Idol, SNL performing (and if NBC watched her co-host, hosting) etc., and my biggest wish: a live DVD this era. ETA: Has the Superbowl 2012 national anthem singer been chosen yet ?Just reading what I have typed thus far feels so surreal for Kelly and RCA ! :o

Also, I echo what neally just said.
