I hope these new versions will be more acoustic. And I hope no vocal editing. I can't wait to see what she picks... Her voice deserves the best.
Oh, and I can't wait for X Factor performance. That will hopefully be EPIC to get people buying for christmans.

These expectations/predictions/estimations/whatever sound extremely lofty. The performance can only help, but that much? Top ten for the entire month? I highly doubt that. Let's have some fun: 'Kill' is now at #65 on iTunes USA, Where do you think 'Kill' will peak post-X Factor performance ? I thought X-Factor has less than half of Idol's audience. Considered a big disappointment by some. I'll say 18. |

I've actually come to love the Smoakstack Sessions (having been an initial detractor). Especially Hello, The Sun Will Rise and The War Is Over. That version of You Love Me, however, can disappear and never come back.

The Smoakstack YLM was, initially, one of my favorites because it was the only one that didn't feel watered down, but transformed. As the original version grew on me, I liked it less and less. I appreciate its intensity and love the bridge, but yeah...definitely inferior.
I have also grown to dislike the production and Kara on the original TSWR, so I tend to prefer the Smoakstack version.
The cover is still the best part of that, and ever since freakshow brought it up, I sort of (in an obnoxious, self, stan way) wish she had given us a studio EP of her best covers.

I love the Smoakstack version of You Love Me it's amazing. When I first listened I thought it was miles better than the original, but that opinion has since changed. Hello, TWIO and TSWR on the EP are dreadful, I have no desire to ever listen to them again, to be honest. I wish to God these were truly acoustic and simply watered-down versions of the original
