She had said something a few months back about releasing a greatest hits type of collection, or just her number ones. I don't know if this is that particular project, but some previously unreleased mixes or brand new mixes of her older ones would be welcome.
The cover art she posted on her FB page is nearly identical to the previously released Walk Away single. Just some additional details here and there.
I wasn't that much of a fan of the other mixes previously released for "Walk Away." I thought that Tony & Warren's main and alternate versions were the best of the bunch. I did like the variety of the mixes back then, but after re-listening to some of them, I realized that they just were very lackluster.

PhillipAnthonyJr posted the tracklisting for the CD maxi of the re-release at DJRicoMixshow today:
Kristine W. "Walk Away": Remixed & Remastered CD E.P. 1.(Tony Moran/Warren Rigg Evolution Mix) 2.(Tony Moran/Warren Rigg Evolution Mix Show Edit) 3.(Tony Moran/Warren Rigg Evolution Radio (With Intro) 4.Tony Moran/Warren Rigg Evolution Radio (Without Intro) 5.(Moran/Rigg/Dave Saronson "Walk Till You Sweat" Dub) 6.(Tony Moran/Warren Rigg Padappella) 7.(Escape to Collucio Album Mix) 8.(Walk Away/Escape to Collucio Run to the Club Mix)
It's a tad peculiar that she would re-release this now given that this had a good wide physical and digital release with the same mixes the first time around (just a couple of the mixes missing on this, although that maybe to most consumers' benefit ;)).
There are so many of her other singles which could use the re-release treatment. Anything other than "Feel What You Want", please. lol That one has been updated to death. I love that one, but just no more please.

I think this release is POINTLESS. Tonys camp told me this is not their project( notice its just "kristine w" not "tony moran feat kristine w.")Not sure what Kristine is thinking here and idk who will buy this! I am a huge Kristine fan and Tony fan and I bought this the first time around but I'll save my money here. Maybe if it had Tonys part two mix off the event 2008.... Ps but what is his source? If it's not coming from Kristine w herself, I'm skeptical. He's posted incorrect info before many times I think this one is strictly for the diehard fans and collectors moreso than for the casual or occasional fan. It would be good for those who missed it the first time around in physical form. On a slightly related note, I was wondering about why such a recent recording would need to be 'remastered' (obviously if there were something wrong with the mastering this would need to happen), but I didn't notice any problems with the original release. When I see the label 'remastered' sometimes, it worries me because sometimes it just ends up being louder. Of course, sometimes it's totally legit and is a dramatic improvement on the original.

Meanwhile her Straight Up With A Twist cd has charted on the Billboard Jazz charts, which is great news. I would think she'd be trying to put all of her attention into that project, and not divert it away towards a single that has already had its day. I still love the song, but new material would be better.

Exactly - if you're an artist who cares about record sales, popularity, name recognition, and building a fan base you should NEVER have such a scattered approach to singles and their release schedule. Fans are bound to be confused. She has a new album out but yet is releasing a single from her OLD album, and one that technically was first released under a different artist's name completely?!?!? I still don't know how or why Tony Moran gave his permission or sold his rights to the song to allow KW's team to release it on their own. It'd be one thing if the new CD included bonus remixes, instrumentals, acapellas, or SOMETHING that hasn't already been released. But this is just really random and something I don't see much of a point in. How about instead commissioning a few remixes of the jazz tunes and releasing that as a CD single instead? Not only would that make fans happy (I'd buy it!) but it would probably increase sales of her CURRENT album! Ah well, who understands the record business anyway
