The preview sounds GREAT - please let this be a hit for her!

Like the production, but her vocals sound like they are running together to me. Maybe the full song will sound better. I can't see radio latching on to this any more than Big Hoops. Seems like something else they will just toss aside.

The beginning sounds too much like Big Hoops for me. I don't know about the rest, I guess it's ok. I don't know what's with her voice this era, but it's really annoying.

Vocals sounds so uninspired to me this era like she's just not enjoying herself or something...

She should have just went full-on dance. "Spirit Indestructible" is freaking terrible. I actually prefer "Big Hoops (Bigger The Better)" which isn't a masterpiece by any means, but it works for what it is.

Ew. Not liking the intro to the song at all. And its very difficult to understand what she is saying through most of the song. And it doesn't flow. There are bits of amazing production thrown in among crappy parts.
Disappointed to say the least.

It's not bad, but it doesn't really sound like a hit to me either. It definitely doesn't sound like a comeback hit after 6 years away. It sounds more like someone who took 6 years away from music and is coming back just for the sake of releasing new music rather than because they're ready. These first two singles are far and away my least favorite first and second singles from any of her albums.

Love the songs so far, but it is obvious she is either out of touch or doesn't give a shit about being radio friendly. I am personally loving it because I don't care if my artists are radio friendly, but it will flop flop flop.

Can't get past her vocals on that song. They're kinda grating on Big Hoops, too, but it sort of works within the chaos of the song. This just sounds poorly sung.

I love it, in spite of the vocals though. I know she's going for a raw feel with the vocals, but it just doesn't come across well on record. They sound very "demo", like she did one take and called it a day.
I really hope all of the vocals on the record aren't the same because I think a lot of songs I otherwise would have loved will be ruined.

love her vocals on this song the way they are because its exactly what she sounds like live. I can't agree because she sang this song A LOT better live but I'm fine with the studio vocals anyways. I love it, in spite of the vocals though. I know she's going for a raw feel with the vocals, but it just doesn't come across well on record. They sound very "demo", like she did one take and called it a day. Clearly it did come across then.

I like it, and I even liked "Big Hoops (Bigger the Better)," but I agree that the single (or album) won't really do much. I honestly just don't think anyone cares, sadly.

I'm someone who would care even if this project gets no interest from the media. However, I'm really not caring anymore and it's because the material is very lackluster. I'd say something cliche like "is she even trying?" but knowing Nelly, of course she's been working hard. I'd say it's because she's out of touch with the times, which she blatantly is, but that wouldn't bother me on a personal level because dated isn't always a bad thing. I just think she took way too long of a break that she's in a creative rut and perhaps lost herself as an artist. No amount of work can compensate for that at this point.

This song fails. It's bad(like Big Hoops). I respect Nelly for trying different things, but the songs aren't good. I'd rather have generic, dance songs that are decent, than something "different" that sucks :*( Maybe this will grow on me.

I'm reserving my thoughts on this song, and specifically her vocals, until the high quality studio version is released. My only complaint about the vocals is not that they are "bad", but rather, they sound somewhat fuzzy. This is to be expected however, since it is a radio rip.

In a radio interview with a German radio station, Nelly said the first half of the album is 'loud' and the second half is more quiet. It seems likely that the second single for the US will be Parking Lot, not SI.

I just think she took way too long of a break that she's in a creative rut and perhaps lost herself as an artist. No amount of work can compensate for that at this point. Nelly lost her touch with her creative side and lost herself as an artist? Hearing Big Hoops and now The Spirit Indestructible, she definitely did not lose anything. Also she took a 2-3 year break in music so she hasn't been gone any longer than most artists between albums. You probably forgot she made Mi Plan did you? This song fails. It's bad(like Big Hoops). I respect Nelly for trying different things, but the songs aren't good. I'd rather have generic, dance songs that are decent, than something "different" that sucks :*( Maybe this will grow on me. Of course the songs are bad because you say so. I'm loving this era from Nelly. Everyone is expecting a Loose part 2 album and she's just shitting all over the people who expects it so now they're all raging and whining saying this album will be a disaster and that the current songs we've heard are crap. Clearly most of you only liked Nelly for her album Loose and don't care about the rest of her albums. This gurl is a creative and an amazing artist. If you took the time to listen to all her albums you would see that.
